well everyone, it is that time when you approach 100,000 and all you can say is "****". it is like a birthday, you really do not know how to take it. you do not know if you should look at it as a beautiful memorable milestone or crappy happening where things start to break.

regardless, this is a post to inform everyone that not all 1993 Mazda RX-7's go to crap. i find it very depressing reading all the posts lately of everyone's horror stories of thier car. i felt the need to enlighten everyone, to put a smile on thier face and let the general public "rub one out" for the simple fact that i love my freaking car.

my plans so far are what you see. i recentally purchased block off plates, SS oil metering lines, fuel filter, a FilterMAG and oil filters to get the ball rolling. below are pictures of the progress. oh, BTW, the engine was overhauled a couple thousand miles ago so things should be good. i find that playing with my Legos as a child has made this very posible to do in a garage. also that fact that i am in the Navy with a squadron will help me talk to my co-workers who are airframers to help me make "one-off" parts for my car and majoring in aerospace engineering helps too.

i am blowing so much money on this batmobile. i find that this car is a great alternative to having that potential spoiled brat of a kid, the girlfriend ceremoniously purchasing that 100th pair of shoes or buying that one last Star Wars action figure to complete your collection; for this car incompasses everyone's financial nightmare.

with everyone here, you can all agree that you have seen horrid RX-7's with spinner rims or that aweful RX-7 that is just falling apart. i hope this is to everyones statisfaction. enjoy these pictures, please give me insight on other suggestions.

tonite my goal is to complete the removal of my A/C. i will have play by play of how the hell i removed it all. this is very fun i might add. oh, for the record i have some new vacuum lines from hose techniques and a greddy AST on the way. i think my co-workers are going to have to help me make a bracket for the greddy AST

Yeah, the stories are like gut punches. Hope everything works out well. I don't think there will be any problems with what I'm setting up 'cause just about everything is getting done over (engine wise). I think the make it or break it point will be the tuning. Hopefully Steve Kahn will be around when I'm ready. Good luck bro.

so i have had my Batmobile over at IR Performance for an engine rebuild. this is when i had a reman from mallory mazda. everyone thank GoodfellasFD3S and Rotary Experiment Seven for the outstanding and "Davin Approved" job

here are some of the pictures of everything buttoned up. again, credit goes to IR Performance. if you are interested in a mod list, please see my website. the link is below the attachments

so this sunday will be the joyous day of when i picky up my batmobile. this momentous occasion will be thoroughly documented with pictures and video. my next plans are some advan model t5’s with yokohama a048 tires. then after that, I will save up for a 500r single turbo and a v-mount with parts from greddy and koyo. there are little things here and there that need to be fixed before it sees the road, but that will come when i get my car and everything is looked over by me.

The same way people spend $4k for seats or $5k for wheels

For those wanting to make bigtime power yet retain oem like driveability, that clutch is a great choice

Don't feel guilty, be proud of what you have accomplished financial, just don't take it for granted. I made more last year than one of my buddies has is the last 5 years combined. Working your *** off and being paid well for your efforts is nothing to feel guilty about.

Now if your kids are wearing ragged clothes, your wife has to ride a bicycle to work, and you make them eat ramen noodles 3 times aday to afford all these goodies, then yes you should feel guilty for that.

Well, I bet most of Davin's build came from deployment money huh Davin? HAHA! Nice to see how much your car has grown Davin. I remember when you and I would be some of the very few on base.

yesterday was the big day!

first, i just want to say thank you to forum member Japan2LA for the ARC radiator and alternator. i installed them and worked amazing! the alternator i purchased from auto zone only lasted about 2000 miles before crapping out. also the radiator made my car happy by sitting at a nice 83c degrees.

i also want to thank Rich for answering my phonecall on easter sunday with me in distress from not being able to get the alternator pulley off. i was able to take it to Reggie's in Lodi, NJ (on easter mind you) to get the bolt off for free with thier handy impact wrench.

the car felt amazing and started up in one crank. i honestly think the NRS ceramic seals are some amazing ****. i had great gas mileage and felt very nice. i can tell that these seals will be a very key roll in my new engine.

time to start the break-in process and fixing the lumpy idle. i am almost certain it is do to the idle bleed screw being all retarted. well, 300 more miles to go before the next oil change and thank you to IR Performance for everything!

Great news Davin

If you're ever back in the area, bring the car back and we can work on the idle issue (free of course)......it didn't exhibit the problem when we had the car, but it started to act up on our banzai run over to Lodi.

Remember to take it easy on that new carbon twin disc clutch

i actually fixed it a little while ago. i just had to adjust the idle bleed valve from under the throttle body elbow.

here is a video of it idling smoothly, just dont make fun of my ridiculously long nose ok?

Davin, our stage 3 port sounds pretty good with your exhaust.......I recommend making it a habit of running it with the coolant filler cap on tho, for the sake of your warranty
