My Fortune Build So Far
5 Attachment(s)
Thought some would be interested in watching the progress on this build, Car will be at the body shop for the next two months, this is where we are so far. In the process of pulling my RX7 Specialists upgraded motor out of my crashed 93. As well as other parts I plan to keep and install. Will have a list of other parts for sale or free as the project progresses.

Will be very nice indeed once she is done. Props for spending some cash.
My 93 Touring model was stolen and crashed. Currently stripping it of the parts I'm keeping/selling, then will probabily give the chasis away or scrap it. Pics of my 93 are on my cardomain site, link in my signature. The current pics are towards the end.
Cool. Your in Whistler eh? I lived up there from 2002-2007. haha. My FC is Evan's old one. Spent some time in storage up there. haha. Keep it coming with the build!

3 Attachment(s)
The body panels have now been reinforced, fitted, and gapped, so we are now ready for primer!!
omg LHD + Fortune = Ballin!
Was going to ship the car to Adam at RX7 specialists to get my engine etc. installed, don't want to spend so much for shipping though, so am thinking about getting the work done at Staffs Auto or Forcefed Performance in Van then making the trip to Calgary once the car is running. Planning to install a WAI System(still trying to figure out my best option for this) and OMP Adaptor and Adjuster, to fully convert to a two stroke oil system.
Keep us update on more of it.............
love those wheels....oh and the rest of the car looks like its coming along very well!!!

I would think stripping the body and putting on another car would be much more work then a LHD conversion. That's if the kit has been installed correctly. Looks like everything is lined up. That's a really good deal IMO. I'm into mine for far more, someone is going to get a sweet car with no waiting period or work. Just my kit and install cost would have covered purchase of that car. Hopefully the new owner will be on the board, would like to check it out in person.
Bueatiful car man.. If your ever driving it through victoria let me know!
Went down to Arlington today to drop off the engine etc. for the car and get everything finalized, will be posting a bunch of new pics.. not that far off now, starting to get really stoked!

Car is still waiting for final spray. Can't wait till this process is done, but it takes time to get things right. Here is the most recent pic of the project.
Have you picked a colour yet?
Yeah, what color did u choose? White?
The color you see on the outer shell is the primary color, the whiteish color will be replaced by a very similar color to the primary but with more silver in it. Hard to visualize but looks really siick in person.
Alright, so done the two main colors
3 Attachment(s)
This looks amazing in person, pics taken with Iphone so hard to see the depth and contrast of the two colors, but I am more then happy with the results. A couple parts will be black as an accent color, like the rear underskirt. Interior is going to be red doorskins and red leather seats, everything else black. Brand new black carpet and headliner. And stoked on this all new door seals sunvisor etc. and new windshield, my old car drove me crazy in this respect, the door seals were fading and the normal scratches etc. on the glass of a 16 yr old vehicle won't be missed.
Im not a big fan of the fortune model but it looks good. congratulations
It's looking so good, hope to see more and come see in person sometime after it's done.... keep us update!!!

Not kidding either. |
Thanks a lot for all the positive comments guys!! as far as cost to build, really depends on what your starting with, and how far you want to go with it. ie complete color change, whether you can do some or all of the work yourself, exchange and shipping rates, taxes etc., With the cost of the vehicle(came without an engine, some upgraded suspension, and some interior) and the cost of the kit, paint, install, odds and ends(various parts, wheels to fit body, tires etc), exchange, I'm currently between 40-50K Can.
Oic, that's decent price.... I wanna get a roller chasis FD and build a Veilside Fortune FD sometime in the future.... just dreaming!!
Engine is finally installed
1 Attachment(s)
Engine is in the car as of a couple of days ago, wheels have been taken apart and are getting partially painted. New seats etc. are being shipped, fingers crossed another week or two ;)
Wow... I love the subtlety of the two-tone :icon_tup: :icon_tup: :icon_tup: :icon_tup: :icon_tup:
just curious what was done to the front inner fenders to fit the wide body? did the kit come with them or did you have a custom set built? i installed a cheapo widebody & had to build my own. nice choice on the color scheme looks good
Thanks for the comments guys. Front fenders came mountable, had to tweak them to get the fitment and lines correct. What style wide body did you go with?
Still hooking things up
1 Attachment(s)
Still hooking things up, oil coolers on, wheels almost done.
i used the b-sport widebody from extreme dimensions. fit like shit. lucky my buddy owns a body shop & fixed that lol
Looking awesome!
