Mannykiller-6 months?

Why don't I get to be on the list? :(

Started work in november 2010, put it together enough to drive to DGRR and back, and it's been under the knife ever since haha. I'm hoping to be up and running/tuned by august, and then back under the knife for a BBK, powerdcoating/painting/cleaning up engine bay, and body work this winter. Then its done. :)

haha nah those werent mine, i have a set of F-zero Blue TE's 18's. But... hey mine started before i was pulled and rolls around too!....so is it already a tie?!

mannykiller 07-08-11 09:32 PM

^ you guys start off tied then... haha

mannykiller 07-08-11 10:02 PM

I'm pretty pissed off at myself guys... It took me about an hour to prep for my passenger side fender roll. Cut the inside well out, and roll the inner lip as no to crease anything. And I started my roll... This side came out 300% better than the drivers side.. I'm embarrassed completely.. So i'm not sure what I'm going to do exactly about the drivers side just yet.. All I could think of was work on it more.. Or cut out the whole quarter panel and start with a used one? I dont know.. We'll see. Anyways here's it at about 90% done. 14 1/4 inches form my coilover:

Screw me too huh i see how "jooo guyz handlez bizznesss"

TwinCharged RX7 07-08-11 10:13 PM

Wow, that's looking good.

Regarding the driver side, the good thing about metal is that you can usually keep working it even if you don't get it right the first time. I bet if you keep on it, you can get it pretty close to the passenger side. I don't think you're close to the point of needing a new quarter panel yet.

Just used a heat gun to heat up the inside lips for the roll.. and use the mallet for the pull. :icon_tup:

rizzxx7 07-10-11 05:23 PM

you got a link where you got the gold cool wrap?

mannykiller 07-13-11 03:35 AM

^ I got it from pegasus racing.com there are a couple different kinds... forgot the exact brand but there was a difference in quality and price from my reasearch.. which of-course the higher priced one was the better quality..and the route I went. But anyways.. I did some work today.

I got my AN Fuel filter fittings in today from jegs.. so Went ahead and put them on my filter with the Gas safe teflon tape just to insure a snug leak free fit.
http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/y...712_162619.jpg
Did a nice simple loop using some extra fuel line I got from napa. OEM sized fuel line is in fact 5/16. So i had to order a -10AN to 3/8's fitting...then use a female 3/8's to 5/16ths push on tree <-- I think it's called something else but i'm really tired so I don't feel like looking it up.. sorry. hah... you know what I'm really effing tired.. i'm just gonna post some pics and type exactly what it was I did tomorrow morning..
New fuel loop
http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/y...712_184526.jpg
All nice and installed. I used thermal thermal protectant on the fuel filter because metal on metal never sits good with me.. Zip ties are temporary...
http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/y...712_184510.jpg
Then it was finally time to put the diff back in it's home..
http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/y...712_205954.jpg
But first I took a handy harbor freight tools strap and secured the diff unit to my floor jack so that it wouldn't fall off the crown. This way you could maneuver it however and not worry about it crashing down on you.
on the jack
under the car on the jack with straps securing it for install

Yea for sure man, i'm going to be using worm clamps...unless I come across something better. But I doubt it, I like worm clamps even though they get all sorts of hate haha

mannykiller 07-13-11 10:01 PM

So... spent a little time working the drivers side fender today... It looks a little better.. Gonna keep at it..
http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/y...713_185247.jpg

muibubbles 07-13-11 10:10 PM

lol, most fuel filter relocates ive seen use worm clamps...

if you figure out a design u want i might be able to fab it up for you real cheapppppp....anything i can think of still uses worm clamps lol

mannykiller 07-13-11 10:59 PM

hmmm what about a p-clip? Then I could just run 2 small bolts through my sub-frame...

muibubbles 07-13-11 11:05 PM

whats the diameter of the fuel filter?

mannykiller 07-13-11 11:07 PM

hmmm I wanna say 2 inches.. but i could be wrong.. I'll have to measure as soon as I get home.. gimme like 30 min..
