No no, there's no spring loaded cap. The cap on the water pump housing is the factory flat cap from the S4 FC. It doesn't have any spring loaded pressure relief, it's just there to keep the coolant from leaking out. Coolant moves freely to and from the coolant reservoir.

But my goal is to eliminate the coolant reservoir.
The reservoir essentially performs the same function as the AST and a normal overflow tank, in one piece. It's a pressurized expansion tank.
It's basically voodoo, but it works really well. LOL
Higgi runs the same setup in his 20B FC and I'll run the same in my FD when I'm through.

YUP. Because im a hoarder. Seems like I buy all the crap he doesnt want
Honestly, i think these bumpers are pretty ugly. but there IS something i like about them.. maybe its the old school nostalgia...
Any who. I saw this picture a few days ago and though "I HAVE TO DO THAT" so these will probably just end up on the wall of my "shop" that I never can seem to find

haha any pictures? I actually started "bubble tech" to just learn what its like to start a business... I figured it would be easier to get into the market and learn at a lower risk... My real dream was to design and build furniture.... but im kinda just riding bubble tech out and see where it goes from there.. worse case scenario, I'll move to one off parts for my car and do furniture =) Any pics of the stuff you make? whats your preferred medium/style?
I don't build custom furniture although I am a trained cabinet maker. I'm a professional restorer of antiques in Washington DC. I also handle all sorts of commercial refinishing, repairs, fabrications, furniture refinishing, claims handling etc... I'm second generation, dad got me started down this road. Next year will be my 20th year. This is me.... :: Clairs Furniture Restoration ::
I had to grow up lol.
Priorities. I've been investing all I have into the business so the car has been put on hold.
Plus I have out grown my home garage so I have no space to even bring the car in to work on. After failing miserably on my first widebody kit, im determined to redo it and come back with an even better design and execution. But that will be later down the road when if I can find a shop

Currently I'm focused on developing parts for the FD to get a more steady income before I make more financial mistakes with this car ahahaha
I ran out of room in my garage so theres no way i can do the body kit properly. So until I move into a shop, the car will sit in its grave.
As it sits...

They're just lame RPF1's lol Played out to the max, but i still love em
So this has pretty much been dead for 2 years. I've finally got the desire back to want to get the car running again. So this winter will be time for a come back. The main reason I haven't gotten to this is because lack of space in the garage. Its been over a year since I've been looking for a shop/house and after being in contract for 4 different places, it seems like I finally found a spot. All that is left is to do the title search and I should be moving in to my awesome fixer upper =) I'll give more details on that when I acquire the space. But lets just say its big enough for me to grow and and hoard all the junk I want =)
Some parts I've been collecting..
Haltech and Racepak from Lucky 7! SUPPORT YOUR ROTARY SHOPS!

ARC Switch panel

Attain headlights I got from a friend! I wont be running these but I seem to have a fetish for collecting headlight kits now..

And of course some of my own parts I'll be adding =)
Transmission spacer for larger oil capacity

Heel plate Since I gutted the interior... (ill probably regret this as i wanna drive it on the street still...)

Also I bought all the supplies to being making my cage just havent had the time to get to it...

So as I'm getting old, my taste/style is changing. I've really began to fall in love with the porche cup cars interior and will be using that for inspiration.

With that said, I will be keeping the stock dash look with a few modifications as follows:
-1 piece composite construction
-Blanked out panels
-Removed glove box for more passenger leg room
-Extend the sides to meet our door panels
In addition I'll be pairing it with a 1 piece blank transmission tunnel cover as well. Thus it can be modified for those using different transmission/shifter locations

Accessories and what not. I haven't decided what each will be use for yet.
