I think the monkey bar looks bad ass in white. If it was me, I would leave it like that. If you must have pink on it, I would either put pink foam or paint the nuts and bolt pink.

Not much of an update.. just started prepping some parts. a lot of shaving stock parts to delete the lines that i dont use. I need to get some bits to do some porting to them as well...
JDM LIM. block off plates? we dont need no stinking block off plates! just cut them off lol... what is the rectangular opening by the gasket for? can i just weld it shut? (forgot to take a pic of the backside...) This first started off by cutting the egr?? off to make more room between the LIM and my DP so i can add a heat shield and basically got out of hand as my die grinder didnt stop cutting............. http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0854.jpg cut the little slit in the UIM. i know its been done before, but i can only recall phil having this too. definitely looks cooler than i thought.. http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0855.jpg water pump housing... cut off all the fittings and shaved the piece down. also cut off the mounting point for the air pump (cant remember who i saw this from) http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0857.jpg http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0858.jpg no more pink turbo??? http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0856.jpg |

The vmount kit from rotary-works is around 900$ I dont know what your price range is. Also dont know if youve seen garfinkles coil bracket. Puts them on the frame rail under the steering shaft. What aux injection kit are you using? I got mine from coolingmist. Heres the link to my thread in aux section https://www.rx7club.com/auxiliary-injection-173/coolingmist-smart-injection-942588/

got my rotary engine stand adapter in! all i need is an engine stand no lol http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0867.jpg removing powder coating is a BITCH. http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0859.jpg modified water pump housing http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0860.jpg modified LIM http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0864.jpg http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0865.jpg turbo compressor housing all cleaned up (95%) http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0861.jpg cleaning spare bolts/nuts etc... stage one, sand blast http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0863.jpg stage 2, "buff" http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0866.jpg |
made the coil bracket, still need to get the weld on bolts then coat it...
http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0875.jpg began mocking up a vmic... the greddy FMIC looks like it will fit perfect.. i still need to play with the angles and figure out ducting/brackets... i can believe how good a vmount looks in person... what a difference in the engine bay... http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0871.jpg http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0872.jpg http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0877.jpg http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0873.jpg http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0876.jpg |
got around to making a bracket to relocate the FPR to the LIM.
(no pic) and got around to making revisions/working on the plush dead piston. just more mock ups before sending the manufacture some final plans.. this one is actually hollow chip board with fabric covering it... i just made it for size/proportion purposes, i needed something visually 3d. http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0879.jpg http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0882.jpg http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0884.jpg |
Why aren't your intercooler end tanks pink? Inquiring minds...
|
Hey Benny, your car is coming along nicely. The fenderflares you sent me are stuck in US customs until the Canadapost Strike is over. But heres the vid I promised ya lol. Oh and once you get the plush piston toys made, I want one lol

1. they dont fit in my oven
2. i dont think i like the look of the end tanks colored.. i prefer the separation and the balance of the pink to black pieces... |
Unacceptable. We demand gaudy pinkness. The royal we. Rectify this egregious issue.

barban- ahhaha i promise it will look good.
phrost- def, once the cars running we should caravan to a meet or two =) some more mock up models... same one just some adjustments... body is more towards the back, added arms, and made added the holes which kinda represent ears... http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0885.jpg http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0886.jpg http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0888.jpg |
http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0890.jpg
http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0889.jpg http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0891.jpg failed attempt. but i like this color better and the stitching across the head is how i intended http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0894.jpg |
got some argon so did a little aluminum welding.... filled the holes in the water pump housing and LIM. LIM is completely shaved of emissions and welded shut so no block off plates!
http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0895.jpg http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0897.jpg http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0898.jpg http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0899.jpg FPR bracket i made to mount on LIM. first prototype http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0900.jpg final piece next to the bracket it came with (still need to drill holes) http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0901.jpg http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0902.jpg oem dual oil coolers. finally opened my package after like 5 months of having it ahhaa. missing the passenger line and clips... ugh, now i gotta figure out a way around it or order parts... but they definitely arent going to be cheap... http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0903.jpg started fabricating my Vmount. welding aluminum with the mig sucked so i opted to make it out of 20 gauge mild steel.. this is just a prototype/monster model. once i get everything buttoned up how i want it i will take my time with the cuts/ plan out the pieces better and mostlikely use 18gauge mild steel. (i love the way the IC/Rad sit together. they pretty much create a perfect seal. http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0904.jpg http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0905.jpg |
continued....
if my chair can hold up a 250lbs person, im sure with the right angle and bends the sheet metal can hold up my 15lbs radiator. http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0907.jpg http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0908.jpg http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0909.jpg and one just for fun =) bubble tech tshirts! http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/DSC_0911.jpg |
cooler must match piping! possibly paint it so not to fuck up heat transfer capabilities of the actual core? also cause it dont fit in your oven
|
no no no no!! lol no pink IC!
|
