Got scammed by Cory Fellows - ALERT
 

I recently got scammed by this Cory Fellows under a fake name "Parker" for an intercooler setup. $500 down the hole on this one. Beware of him, I was apparently not his first victim. I am currently in the process of reclaiming my money from this low life.

Yes, Cory Fellows is a very bad boy. We have a complaint out against him for ripping us off with a $950 bad check well over a year ago. Ground Zero also got ripped off. Corksport (in Vancouver, WA) got their money back and the Washington police dropped the charges, even though I believe they knew there was an investigation pending in Oregon. The Oregon police do not appear to be doing anything, as far as I can tell, but you never know. We will take this information and pass it along, in case they feel like investigating further.

Correction to my earlier post: according the the Vancouver DA, they did not drop the charges. Corksport dropped the complaint after Cory paid them off for what he owed them. If there are any other Washington State residents who got scammed, please call the Vancouver District Attorney's office and speak to prosecutor Jeff McCarty (not sure on the spelling). They are willing to go after him again.

Yes. He is a resident there and hes committing a crime in there jurisdiction.

Call both your own DA and the DA in Vancouver, WA. Your DA is probably the one to file charges with, but the Washington DA should be made aware of another vicitm, even if he can't directly do anything for you. Being across state lines may make it Federal, but only the DA can tell you for sure. The top priority should be making all relavent District Attorney's aware of the scope of the crimes this individual is perpetrating. The bigger the criminal, the higher the priority. Cory is not that smart. He has only gotten away with things thus-far by appearing too minor a criminal. Once the DAs start sharing info, they will quickly see a pattern and act. Rob was dealing with this, so I don't have the Portland DA's name or number handy, but I will try to remember to post it as soon as I find out.

He dares rip off Pineapple and Corksport, for those reasons, I really want him stopped. Why would anyone try to rip off fellow rotorheads?

I was dating (being scammed) by him at the time of the inntercooler thing. He 100% screwed over mac.... took his money and never sent him anything. Cory told him he sent it. Cory got me to use my paypay account... never sent the goods... leaving me to clean up his problem. He also wrote me a bad check therefore screwing me out of another $500 as well as stole my brand new cannon elph SD 630. All this happened in about one month. What kind of a psycho steals from the girl their dating? One like Cory Fellows. I quit speaking to him around mid to end of January. Since then he has not gone back to the house he was staying or returned any messages... until tonight. I confronted him about the car part he didn't send and he told me to f myself and it was my problem. He also owes anyone that used to call him a friend money. I could go on and on. Nobody knows where he is, or where he's staying. I just wanted everyone to know that this guy is a problem and he'll keep on doing it. I'm doing what I can. Look at his myspace profile, he looks like a fucking tweaker to me. Id be willing to bet that most of the money he steals from people goes straight to dope, I know people exactly like him. It is only a matter of time before this fucker is dead or in jail.

Kara and her friends are going to try to catch him for intentionally writing bad checks. I'm ready to write a testimony, and provide information. If you have ever been scammed by this man, call your District Attorney as well as the DA in Vancouver. Thanks.

I posted this on the other thread, but if anyone has been scammed by Cory online what you need to do is go to www.FBI.gov When it's on the internet it becomes a federal offense. On that website there is a thing under contact us that says report internet crime. You give them all the information and they open a case. If there is any information you need to file this feel free to contact me at beachgirl684@hotmail.com I don't think any local police can do anything if it was fraud over the internet but the FBI can. The FBI (actually ic3s, I believe) will be a total waste of your time. The dollar amount isn't even close to being enough for the FBI to worry about. The best bet is the local police. Get as many of the people he ripped off together as possible and go to the local police with EVERYONES evidence AT ONE TIME. The more you can show a pattern of scamming the better off you are. If he's writting a lot of bad checks that will also make the local police more apt to go after him. You can almost guarantee that if he is writing bad checks and some one has turned him in for it and he hasn't paid it then they will issue a warrant for his arrest. If he has a warrant out on him and you "kindly let the police know where he is" then you can almost bet that they will go ahead and pick him up.
As I said the FBI will get you nowhere. Go to the local police.

Just so everybody knows... Cory Fellows is currently behind bars. He was arrested this morning and his car was towed. So he's going to be in jail for the next few days but so far he's not in much trouble. Mostly they are getting him for violating his probabtion. But if they find stuff in his car then he's really screwed. I'm still working on getting him for the other stuff. Kara

I was scammed for $250. I reported the case to the website, 3 months later I got paper work and a case. After a month, I had a check and a signed note from the fellow who scammed me with instructions to fax recieved payment to the case number. The FBI will fuck with your taxes, SS, welfare, Unemployment, and everything else if you do not pay. You get locked out.
I know dozens of people that have filed and gotten their cash back by taking the TIME and Patience!

I just got my money back recently.

I am glad that it worked out for you. The problem is that it does not for most people. There are dozens of people on this very forum that have filed with ic3s and have never even gotten so much as an email back. Although I am happy that it worked for you the simple fact of the matter is that the FBI has MANY more important things to worry about other than relatively small time theft. Hence the local authorities are a much more reasonable avenue for most people to go thru and actully have something result from it. Therefore, my previous statement is not "bullshit".

Apparently, our complaint did not get "attached" to Cory's record, for some reason. However, the prosecutor just told us he is contacting Cory's parole officer, who is meeting with Cory tomorrow. :)

so i dated Cory Fellows for a couple of months and in that time he scammed/stole over $6,000 from myself and my family. he is wanted by the FBI as well as the seattle police department and oregon police officials. Cory is a horrible person, he is a liar...i am not even able to show my disgust in this. he is a demon, pure evil. stole my debit card and parents credit card information. anyways if ANYONE has ANY information on Cory and/or his whereabouts i ask that you contact me, Emily or detective chris hansen with seattle pd fraud unit 206-684-8987 or Cory Fellows probation officer Dave Bellwood at 503- 846-3500. on top of all this i recently found out that cory fellows is also a registered sex offender and was around my 3 year old daughter. For anyone who cares, the dude was arrested yesterday (Oct 25th) and is being held for several charges. We're already in contact with Emily and Chris Hansen. We need help from *anyone* who wants to see this scum bag go to jail. He's a thief, a rapist and this is your chance to do good and help put this guy away for LIFE.

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to play detective in finding this sorry ass little bitch boy, Cory Fellows. I met up with the Vancouver police and gave them my protection order and a new address, they went to the house, saw him inside...and when he tried to run and hide in the house they busted down the door and arrested the fucker on three different arrest warrants. I sat about 6 feet behind him in a court room the following afternoon and the rage, the anger, the disgust seemed to just boil out of me. Fortunately God gave me some time to talk some shit to him and tell him to have fun being screwed in the butt by his large jail mates :) I dont know what stupid person posted a $50,000 bond for his dumb ass but he will be back in jail, he still has another warrant in washington county, and many more charges to soon be filed. And to your pitiful ass mr. cory fellows...what you have done will never be forgotton by those who you have hurt, scammed, screwed. You are the absolute defintion of a low life and a bottom feeder and soon will get yours to the fullest extent. You told me my life was in danger and that i should be scared of you...but who is the one running now?
Please if anyone has any more information for myself, the guys at OPP racing, chris hansen, his probation officer, etc...let us know. lets all get him and give him what he deserves!

I was recently told that you only need to put 10% of the total bail to get out. Bail is $50,000...but you can just give me $5000. How the heck does that make sense?

first, I did a national sex offender search, and found nothing. Now, that doesnt mean he isnt one, it could just mean that he is registered in one of the states that doesnt report to the national database. Both Oregon and Washington pulled nothing for the name Cory Fellows in their databases.

Nick--the bond works like this. You get arrested, and the judge puts a $50,000 bond on you. The reason why you only need to come up with 10% is because the bonding agency(the bail bondsman) guarantees to the court on your behalf that he will be responsible for the full amount. This is why, when you bond out of jail, that the bondsman requires collateral--someone to cosign for you, put up their house or car, etc etc etc. The bondsman gets a limited power of attorney over you. This is what gives the bondsman the authority under the law to send bail agents like me after you to put you back in jail.

So, dont think he's getting off light with the 10%, you just need to understand how it works. heres the really shitty part--whoever cosigned his bond, whatever they put up as collateral, they lose if he jumps bail and the bondsman has to pay the court. This should make any of you think twice before agreeing to cosign on someone's bond.

I need to crash, but I will do some checking in the morning on this guy. Also, I will clarify some things about what several of you have posted already, including going to the FBI's internet crime website. For now, if anyone has any more specific information about this guy they should NOT POST IT IN THIS THREAD. We have seen it time and again--scammers that watch what happens in here, and if you post where he's hiding now, he sees it and hides somewhere else before we catch up to him. If you have information, PM it to me or to one of the people directly involved with this situation, please.

first, the whole FBI thing. Just so everyone understands how it works, here's the deal. When you go to the IC3 website, their internet complaint site, you fill out a report. THE FBI ITSELF DOES NOT INVESTIGATE THESE REPORTS. They pass your report off to the appropriate police agency and THEY choose to either investigate it or not. We ran into the same thing with another scammer on here some time back--Richmond Abalos. We had three complaints filed with that website. The local police still didnt do anything until I got personally involved and paid them a visit, and even then they didnt do very much.

The way to go about this is to get everyone who was scammed by this guy on the same page. If you ALL filed complaints and contacted the police where he lives, they would be far less likely to ignore the complaint. If you have one person who scams one victim out of $300, for example, it might get some attention. But, if you have several people who have collectively lost a couple grand or more, the cops will see it as a repeat offender and a much bigger problem that needs to be dealt with sooner instead of later. I dealt with a case where I myself was scammed on ebay, and the police were not as willing to do anything....until I was able to show that there were at least 66 other people who had also lost $140 a piece. Then it instantly becomes more than a petty thief.

So, everyone that was scammed out of money, had something stolen, or received a bad check from this guy needs to get together, and all file complaints to the same officer in the same police department. Once they see that this guy's already got a criminal history and that the scams just keep on coming, that provides more motivation for them to get him off the street. I will do some checking to see about his location, but to be honest, without me being there where he is, at this point the investigator that posted earlier will have more success than I will. I can check databases and try to locate, but since he is moving from place to place, his current location will not be found in those databases. What you need to do is locate any friends he has, or any family that he has kept in contact with throughout the time people here have known him. That will be the key--anyone who has maintained contact with him despite all of this will likely still be in contact with him or possibly even have him living in their house. If I find him from here, it will be pure luck that makes it happen. At one point he stayed with his sister, someone posted. I would start there. You need to handle this like I handle bounty hunting cases--you take away his options. You make it so that the people who would help him dont want to help him anymore because it can get them into trouble with the police. They are harboring a criminal. That is a crime itself. If it were me, I would spend some time pulling surveillance on the places where he has been known to go. But not just anyone can legally do that. Right now, you guys that know him personally should be talking with the investigator and brainstorming places where he has gone before. Eventually there will be a bridge he hasnt burned yet...and thats probably where you will find him.

Other things--for those of you that know him outside of this forum, does he work? What kind of work has he done? What kind of field would he be working in? What kind of car does he drive?

I will add something else--I did a search in the database of court records in Washington. Cory Robert Fellows has no less than 21 separate court cases in his past. His first is as a minor, in 1992, and between 1992 and 1998 he was arrested at least five times. Three of those were felony charges, the other two are called "gross misdemeanors". No details on the actual charges are listed.

There are 3 listings for "criminal", four "criminal non-traffic", five "criminal traffic", one "infraction traffic", a couple of small claims cases where he was the defendant, and a domestic violence case against him. All in all, a real winner. The last court date I was able to locate was 2/14/2008, and he is on record in the docket as not showing up for it. That case has been going in since 6/2002. This is a guy that needs to be put in prison. If there was any doubt, this should have cleared that up for you.

I checked through 14 counties in Washington state, and he is not currently an inmate in any of the county jails there. Hey, it never hurts to look there. You'd be surprised how many times I found someone I was looking for, in a jail in a different county.

Is there a connection that he has to Oregon? Can anyone help with info on that?

okay now let me answer to this sex offender thing here. Cory Fellows IS a sex offender. in 2005 he got a 15 year old girl drunk and raped her, this i hear from his probation officer in oregon. he failed to register as a sex offender and had a warrant put out for his arrest.
i have charges coming from king county hopefully my detective will file them soon. there are 4 seperate charges.
i posted on here before the number for Cory's probation officer in oregon state. his name is david bellwood and he is a terribly difficult person to get ahold of. talk to the officer on duty...they are much more available than mr.bellwood.
when i found the little fucker back in october, he was served with my protection order and arrested on i believe it was 2 or 3 different arrest warrants. the bail thing worked out at 50 grand his mother put up her HOUSE and surprise surprise he didnt show for his next court date and poor lil mama lost her house!

put simply....everyone here who has been ripped off by Cory (satan himself) anyone who knows someone who has been ripped off by him....we all need to get together and put him in jail for the rest of his life. he will never stop this shit and only more people are going to be a victim of his antics.
