I don't see anyone recommend Idemitsu synthetic blend, Racing premix rotary fuel lube, any comments, or issues with this lubricant?

Indemitsu is magic 2 cycle rotary oil. Obviously the price proves that. And obviously it's gotta be worth the extra shipping too.

I have been using Idemitsu premix for a few years. There was really no reasoning other than it seemed to be quality. When ordering a few things from Rotary Performance in Garland, TX, I decided to give it a try and bought a case. I used it on my previous engine as well as my Pineapple built engine. I can't really comment on it, other than both engines are very healthy.

The issue with most premix brand questions is you never know if it's "better" or "worse" until you tear everything down to inspect. Even then, there are many variables in the equation.

my motor slowly and constantly built compression over the 5 years. i decided to dis-assemble it for analysis. (i do a 6 page spec sheet on all my motors so i had a base on which to compare).

just to be clear, the motor was 100% when i decided to do some comparative work on it.

the housings were fine... (Atkins apex seals), the side seal gap had opened .001. the rotors were carbon free.

so it seems to me that premix works without an OMP. i see no problem w combining the two as long as you are not using crankcase oil. i would start by continuing the premix ratio and then check the plugs. my guess is that it would be best to continue the premix ratio w the OMP.

Howard does your tune cut fuel on de accelerate? I wonder if you do lots of engine braking with fuel cut and no omp will that effect wear
