It's been mentioned about leaner afr's with aux injection but how about low octane?
 
I've read about people succesfully running high 13's afr at 20+ psi boost with water injection; we also know about the cooling and knock suppression characteristics.

So have anyone tuned for faster burning low octane (87) with water injection? Any reason it's not possible or reccomended?

Given the knock suppression abilities of water, it seems like it would be a good idea... but I'll wait for the masters to chime in

I would not do it with any octane level of fuel. You are eliminating the knock resistance of the water injection by running such lean afrs.

Not long time before I would disagree with you. But from old NACA study, which I read recently, it is clear that best knock suppression at "relatively" low water to fuel ratios is achieved at rich mixture, mid to high 10s. But you already know it:icon_tup:
