I recently suffered an engine failure, and I'm considering some type of alcohol injection the next time around.

I looked at the water injection / alcohol injection kits, and it left me wondering why they don't inject the stuff like gasoline. Then I came upon the idea of bifurcating my fuel system -- primaries off of gasoline and secondaries off of methanol.

I would set the system up with two separate, divorced fuel systems. The larger one would be a conventional gasoline system feeding the primary injectors. The smaller one would have a SS tank, with methanol-compatible components feeding the secondary injectors.

My ECU would control both sets of injectors, just like it did before, but I would get the cooling effects of methanol injection while under boost.

I still need to do the math, but I was thinking of a 15 gal gas tank, and a 5 gal mehtanol tank.

I have done this. priamry injectors on gas and secondaries on methanol. I am at the tuning point of things now! will have to wait and see how it turns out.
