AI is a big tent.

there are those who want to run Road America's 4 mile laps and not melt their motor. not turn up the boost, not jack w the timing, just have the time of their lives w the pedal(s) to the metal. AI can deliver the negative BTUs to get it done.

then there are the lunatics (like me) that not only want the above but want to turn up the boost past 20 and crank on the timing.

in the PRE-AI WORLD you'd fill up w race gas, go have at it and then it would be back to the one bar blahs. not anymore thanks to AI. you can have it all all of the time.

this section is devoted primarily to the lunatics...

there are only THREE provisos here... ROTARIES (duh), AI and PUMPGAS ONLY. 93 octane max. if you want to run something other than pump and AI, fine, just post it in a separate thread.

this should develop into the most interesting thread on the board.

BTW, a contingent thinks you can make big numbers using water so here's your opportunity to prove it.

gentlemen, start your dynos.

so let the games begin... dyno sheets from everyone running AI of any kind (high boost or low) and pump are welcome.

do post all the details please as we all want to learn.

I will get the dyon picture later. Pump gas (91) nets me 407 wheel @ 13 ish PSI spraying alchy. I havent turned up the wick yet, but I will go to 17 PSI on 91 octane while spraying alchy. That dyno I will also post as it will undoubdetly be in the mid 400s.

i was a couple of days from dynoing it when my Exedy Hyper Single decided it couldn't hold the motor.

i have since taken it down to find, as i suspected, there is nothing wrong w it other than i outgrew it a bit. the day before, when it was 5 degrees colder (55), i went sideways at 5900 rpm in 3rd hear at approx 60% throttle running 285s on the back end at 28 psi tire pressure.

i do have "dyno" sheets from my DataLogLab that indicate i am making over 500 rwhp but will wait and post the real thing when i get my twin disc clutch.

i do not drive my car in the wisconsin winter as they salt the roads but might catch a break sometime this winter. if not it will be march 07.

i run two TO4s that are capable of making 84 pounds per minute between 17 and 23 psi. i was at 18.7 psi when my clutch checked out.

i should have some numbers in a few weeks after i get my methanol injection installed. my goal is 400RWHP for a stage 2 S4 hybrid turbo @ 20PSI on pump.

I ve been running 24-25lbs on pump gas and a healthy 3 stage shot of meth. I tried dynoing, but it wasn't loading the car right so it just loaded up with fuel. On the street I am making at least 500whp, probably a little over basing off the cars I can beat. AFR's are 12-12.5.

my numbers were lower than i expected so i'm not going to embarass myself by putting them up even though i didn't get to finalize the tuning on the dyno. :p:

the problem was hardly with the AI system or the methanol, it was with the small frame To4 hybrid turbo i was pushing it with, there was little to no gains above 10PSI but i was able to increase the timing and take some extra fuel out of the injectors increasing the fuel system capacity with the AI installed. the engine is probably just over 300 at the wheels now with some minor tweaks at 10PSI but in the near future i am looking to upgrade to something that will push it into the 400 range.

i mainly wanted the system for reliability and that's exactly what i got, i don't want a 550HP monster that has unusable gobs of power on the street.

Will you accept some logs instead of dyno sheets? I know its not an Rx7 but maybe is will give some of those interested on the subject a little bit of an idea of what can be obtained.

These are from a 2000 Audi S4 2.7 Bi Turbo. It is running K04/RS6 hybrid turbos at 22 psi on 91 octane. All pulls are made in 3rd gear. The system being used is a Devils Own Progressive Kit with dual 5Gph Nozzles. The fluid in the tank is just winter washer fluid %30 meth/70%water. Ambient temps are around 65 degrees.

Blue is the latest results after more tuning.
Dark Purple is with a little tuning
Pink is the from the earlier posted logs. 0 tuning.
Red is no water injection

thanks for the post. while this thread will eventually be a dyno section we are always very interested in seeing tangible reports.

and excellent results they are...

an additional 10 plus degrees of timing..

40 plus degrees of temperature reduction.

more torque.

all from about 600 cc/minute of windshield washer mix.

that tells me our dyno section is going to be posting some mighty big numbers in 07.

What boost do you max out on pump+water. I am running 23-24 on meth, and Supra guys around here are running 30+ with a healthy shot of meth.

I have not found it yet to be honest with you, have always either run out of turbo, or injectors prior to reaching limit of WI + pump fuel.

One of my customers uses 95 Ron only *this is worse than your 93! (tight arse) and he runs 430rwhp on our dyno dynamics unit which read MUCH lower than a dynojet (PM enzo250 of this forum for a guide as to how much lower, he has one). pp13b is his user name and he runs 26psi daily flat power from 5500rpm to 8000rpm, a real street weapon :)

This is my dyno with the R85 at 20 psi with the SMC kit

Here are my two dyno graphs at around 21 psi of boost on 93 pump gas and 100% methanol injection using coolingmist's progressive controller. I used two nozzles which i think are a M8 and M12. All my other mods are in my garage. It was tuned by Steve Kan.

This is Horsepower and torque, don't mind the lines that shoot back down, i guess the dyno didn't catch the end of the run soon enough

just dynoed my 13b rew, full bridge, t78, pump gas and 10% 50/50 water/meth.

my wastegate spring is to weak, so over 1.3bar(19psi) it could'nt keep the pressure stable, so new spring going in!

put down 455rwhp on a DynaPack, is reaching for 1.7bars(25psi) next dynotime!
