Any reason why you are not using the standard coil packs you do not need the dumb modules in there (008) the SM4 could fire your originonal coil pack.

The coils will need some kind of ignitor (and bosch units come as the recommended units to use) but I doubt the SM4 will run the stock RX7 ignitor.

The sm4 has mapable dwell control and should be able to fire the factory ignitor weather it be a smart or dumb ignitor. The hard part is to figure out the ignition array? I know this is possible, Im just not good enough with the software yet to figure it out...

Any help?

It will run the leading ignitor but the trailing ignitor is a whole different scheme of things.

I imagine that is what he is talking about, but there is some truth to what he said.

No you can fire the coils there is no reason that the rx7 ignitor can't fire the stock coils. Here is the wiring for the SM4 for the RX7

{ SM4 } { IGNITOR }
{ ) { }
{ PIN 5_____________0______Light green wire}
{ PIN 19 ____________| { }
{ } { }
{PIN 6 ___________________ Brown
{ } { }
{PIN 33___________________Brown/Black

Just in Case this gets scrambled PIN 5,19 go to the light green wire on the ignitor. Pin 6 to the brown wire on the ignitor. Pin 33 to the Brown and Black on the ignitor.

If you have any other problems PM me I will be glad to help but this is why you buy your Autronic from a dealer that can support you.
