I recently purchased a 10th anniversary edition rx7 and went looking for parts. I ran across an ad on Facebook in a group called " FC Rx7 Restoration Group" where a person named Matt Montgomery was selling a steering wheel and other 10ae specific parts I needed.

I started to inquire about the parts when I noticed multiple posts for the same parts and then looked at the ad thoroughly only to find it was a scam. I commented on the parts not being correct and was blocked from the group as he was the moderator of.

I posted my experience in the main rx7 group on Facebook and found the seller is a known scammervand profiteer that is able to run scams on new people through his group and two other groups his friends run. However hes disliked among the community and is constantly called out for scamming people and blocking them when they call him out.

needless to say I didn't purchase anything from him but i felt it necessary to put it out there for people to see the type of person this guy is and the lies about the parts he is trying to sell to make more than their actually worth.

Here are screen shots from the thread on the main group. It's clear he is disliked and is not welcome in most groups. A few tried to ignore that he was just caught red handed scamming by saying they didn't get scammed, but that means nothing. He just tried to sell me 10ae parts that are not 10ae parts and he knew it.

I just wanted to share another example of the lies, scams and profiteering he has been doing and promoting. Beware his group and his sales. You are either overpaying or being scammed.
