here is my other ride, as posted up in the other rotary thread

this is my south african built, last of a rare breed s4 rx2 ( genuine )
( i am an aussie ! )
i have had this car since 1990

and its 100% owner built, fabbed and painted in all its configs over the years
( and daily driven till mid 2004 )
currently under a very comprehensive body resto that is currently in the final panel work stages

there was much pain in undoing the last half dozen paint and bog its !

some old photo's, photo'd

foot note:

there are parts stamped 77 and 78 ( and made in South Africa )
the first rego is 1980.

Rx2 completed the longest old school production run (1971 to 1978)
in Japan.
[ this car is crate assembled so true assembly hints to 1979 ]

bionic blu 2K protec 606

off the gun finish

many hidden refinements and improvements to the RX2 under this lot.
all steel repairs.
all back to metal the hard way

much refab of boot, windscreen tray and inner and outer rear arches
all water paths and channels improved, refined and glass coated.
engine bay seam smoothed

lots more work to go

captain blunt fingers would like to give thanks to Wayne from ALA detailing
this time round i let him do the gun work, i am the amateur
-he is a real pro !

thanks Wayne. just stop drinking my stubbie.

thats a cool plate
but used around me it would attract way too much of the wrong attention
- no matter how you drive
any ECU or other development?

Hey all, heres my series 7 batty. Not too much done to it. Single turbo conversion, FMIC, Mazda Adj.Susp., Apexi FC on the way (when i can get my hands on one, preferrably a cheaper 2nd hand one!!). 19" rims. bride seats. few other bits n pieces.

Am now just working on getting it up to scratch, paint jobs a bit shonky, and engine bay needs a good clean up etc. Just changed plugs, which helped tremendously seeing as one was corroded!!!

G’day. Just thought I would ask is anyone doing the Race meeting at Morgan Park (Warwick, Queensland) on 19,20 & 21 June 2009?
I have just decided to make the trek interstate to the meeting but my regular pit buddies cannot come as it is a 6 or 7 day trip.
Is anyone interested in coming out to the track?
Lots of categories including classic V8 Supercars and Superbikes so it’s not just my category that will be entertaining.
Now if you can help out in the pits with tyres and minor cleaning etc that would be AWESOME and I can take care of all your expenses at the track including lunch and liquid refreshments.
If you are mechanically minded I will even take care of accomodation/meals/drinks in Warwick.
It’s a pretty good car and pretty quick (1.33.1 Winton long track; QR 1.19.2 National Long Track, Wakefield 1.04.3; Eastern Creek 1.43.2) - Porsche GT3 Territory.
You may have seen it in Auto Action/Fox Sports/SBS Speedweek or even Youtube but sorry I cannot post a picture here just yet but I will shortly when new sponsor decals are fitted.
If you are available please PM or post here.
THANK YOU

Howdy Guys & Gals

I own a 1979 Mazda 626 coupe, it runs a S5 13B Turbo and Garret T04.
I am from Perth and love nothing better than cruising in my rotor or my partners S4 RX7 Turbo.

The car is currently off the road getting a Supra gearbox & twin plate clutch fitted by a workshop, my car was tuned properly a few months ago and made 325 HP on 13PSI, I absolutely love it!!
Its just a standard import block but it runs really well.

Anyway heres a pic of my car, hope you like it!
