Depends what ecu you are running?
Or even 4X2200cc injectors. |
I have a microtech lt10s, streetport, t70 turbo, was thinking about 4x 1600cc. looking to go to 25psi would that be enough & how much power do you think I could make

Running a PFC, here's what I did:
-Extreme lower intake manifold and fuel rail. Gives you 4 standard injector ports in addition to the 2 stock primary ports. -FJO low impedance injector driver Running 850 cc/min primaries in the standard location which works really well with the increased volume needed. Running 2x1600 cc/min and 2x1680 cc/min secondaries. Secondaries don't match because they're not making the 1680 cream tops anymore so I added a set of 1600 white tops instead. The input impedance on the FJO driver is very high, that means there is very little current draw. So, run each of the secondary injector output injector drivers from the PFC to two input channels on the FJO. Then you have 4 outputs to run 4 injectors. In my case, each secondary channel is driving 1x1680 cc/min injector and one 1600 cc/min injector. That gives me 850+1680+1600=4130. 4130*2= 8260 cc/min total with really good duty cycle for idling and low speed smoothness from the 850 primaries. When I switched to e85, I found I had low compression on one of the rear faces that was caused idle problems that I didn't see on gas. So I pretty much got tuning done to only 10psi baseboost, and I have the engine apart now to replace a cracked but inplace apex and corner seal. So far no problems with this setup though. The only issue I've had so far is that my tank level started to drift. I found this thread looking to see if there's something that's not compatible in there for the level sensing setup.. |
finally made the switch, took railguns advice from another thread and bought the pegasus fuel sock custom made and adapter for it, custom fittings. hope you like. very happy with the results.
force sx fuel pump nickel plated the fuel pump bracket thingy, dont know the name of it. http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/w...y/IMG_1033.jpg |
Hows the car runing on the E85? What injector set up did you end up going with?
|
car runs great, 4x 1600cc
|
Did you re tune? Did you see any gains?
|
yes had to re-tune (not alot surprisingly) hopefully will get to take it to the dyno and raise up the boost and finish tuning. you can feel the difference, very happy with the results. will let you know if I get a chance to throw her on the dyno this weekend.

Do you have more info on the fuel set up? Line size ? website for the pump?
|
the sx fuel pump 18203 requires #10 lines which I already had, as for the pump I bought mine from Rob down here @ force fuel on quail roost drive.
heres the website for the pump http://www.sx-performance.com/Fuel_Pumps.htm and here is force fuel website http://www.force-efi.com/sx.htm |
Thanks.

Laz,
Is the pump E85 compatible or is it just a regular fuel pump ? ( Got my answer from the link ) What is it's flow rate and how much HP can it support ? ( Got my answer from the link ) How much $$$$$ ?? It list 1000HP at 45 PSI... What PSI are you running at ? I thought E85 needed higher PSI to run properly. I heard around 65 to 80 PSI. Thanks Joe |
the pump costs $280, fuel pressure not true 40-45 psi (i'm @ 42) every car is different as for the 65-80 psi I believe if your using one of the smaller pumps like the bosch.
|
not a productive weekend, was working on a friends car who also made the switch is having idling problems, and my car is overheating. :( (not e85 related.)
|
What coils are you using and are you using any ignition amplifiers?
|
bosch hec715 if im not mistaken and microtech x4 ignition.
|
thanks
