Gdi

So I'm in the midst of rebuilding my good ole s5 13b. A couple of interesting ideas came up and the biggest was Gasoline Direct Injection.

I am in the conceptual phase now and have several questions.

Has anyone had experience with GDI not necessarily rotary wise?

What fuel pump would one need for a GDI system?

Could a third hole be placed between the two spark plugs or could I eliminate the trailing spark plug altogether for use of a GDI injector?

How much compression could I in theory run on the n/a rotors (not issue of detonation but rotor strength)?

Supercharger?

In theory (strictly theory) with enough compression (granted the rotors, e-shaft, bearings, housing, etc are strong enough) could a diesel cycle be achieved and would there be any benefit from running one?

Could the old injectors be used for oil injection (pre-mix not motor oil) with an auxiliary pump?

I know it seems weird but I think we have a way to improve rotary performance on several levels.

You are right and it isn´t weird at all. It has been done. Unfortunately, not in automotive industry.

I will be playing with injector placement in the oil metering holes in my next motor. Hopefully should have some interesting results.
