Good idea, ryan1. I sometimes forget but there are at least two types of serial cables. You need to use a standard 'straight through' serial cable, not a 'null modem' cable. Most null modem cables I've seen have the letters 'NM' stamped somewhere on the connector.

Progress? ? ?

Nothing worked as usual. Spoke with AEM and nobody has any idea. Both ECUs were confirmed working. All wiring is fine at the harness, double and triple checked. Going to give it another run through and then give up and go with something else.

Are you using aempro or aemtuner? What does it say when on the ecu status page when you are trying to connect? Screenshot might be helpful.

The Car is Finally Connecting and the car is cranking but hasn't started as of yet.

I am having a problem with my AEM as well. I am trying to download my map before sending the ECU in for a revision and it keeps telling me it cant connect and that its off line. The car and ecu both have power and will run on the ecu. I am using a Trendnet TU-S9 Serial to USB converter and have tried rebooting my computer. Suggestions?!
