knock sensor readings?

is anyone getting normal knock readings with the AEM? For some reason mine only reads .2 volts all the time. I've put a new sensor in and checked the wiring to the computer with an ohmmeter and its fine, but same reading.

thanks for any help

Todd

it is normal on idle or normal driving. Just drive hard and you will see difference.

Are you sure you log RAW knock in the internal logging at fastest rate?
And knock control is turned ON?"
"Knock" value will not show anything unless you over knock curve. It shows how much you over. If you are not over, it will keep 0.02V all the time.
To make an experiment you could zero knock curve and see.

if this will not work check your harness. just connect something like 1.5V battery instead of the knock sensor and look at the log. I know ,for example, that 99+ year rx7 has 2 knock sensors and pins are different.

you want to log knock VOLTS not knock RAW. knock RAW dosnt have any filtering on it and it will give you worthless readings.

and if anyone is interested i posted the cal based on the one for the car im working with now, stock twins and runs pretty damn good

(AEM) said that the knock sensor is designed to a specific frequency, and once it hears that frequency (Knock) it'll start throwing numbers, I was wondering the same thing, as I have put a second knock sensor in the rear housing, to be able to controll sparc on either rotor independantly....

Both By the way show .2 v and I have yet to see them move, but I also hope to never see them deflect significantly... but I plan on asking Steve about it when he tunes...
