Derek,

Do you have the AEM? I have been looking into this one and trying to make a decision.

Your mods sound similar to mine so far. Please let us know what you find out.

I found the base maps to be Very Rich, to the point where I smelled lots of gas after a few minutes of ideling.. After that I took it back off and I'm waiting 'till the end of march when a guy from Australia is supposed to come to Rotary Power and tune it... I won't take a chance on it untill then... But I will definitely post the results and possibly the map with a BiG A$$ discalimer...

Hey Derek,

So you're running the AEM. How do you like it? ( I realize you uninstalled it ). How about ease of install?
Where did you purchase it? How much?

Thanks, Tom

I believe I tried Rotormotorsports, and found out that he was pulling shady deals, and pulled my credit card, called the card company and ended up buying it from RX7store.net it cam in a box with little documentation and a CD, so what you get online, is more or less it.. you get a bunch of PDF files which I belive have been posted noumerous times and are updated on the site... www.aempower.com/bbs
The install was less tricky and the exstall !
Getting the old ECU out was more of a pain than getting the new one out... plus as I expected I broke one or two plastic prongs, that help keep the harness locked in place, so I'm going to need to zip tie the harness to the box once I install it permanently, also the reports of screw holes not alligning seems to be correct, allthough an abundance of velcro is shipped with the box and it seems that if you can allign one or two screws up and put the velcro on I'd feel pretty secure that it wouldn't move....

I'll see if I can take come pictures during the final install and post them as a wlakthrough...

Derek,

Thank you. This is a big step and I don't want to screw up. Yes I have all the software from the AEM site. It looks pretty much like the stuff I would expect with the unit. Lots of pages in there. Man, it looks pretty complex.

I am beginning to wonder if with the mods I have if I would just be better off with the PFC.

Thanks again for the reply, Tom

I'm on 0.89 based maps.

No need to go to 0.94 right now.
