Wheel speed sensor

Running the Adaptronic Modular PNP and trying to set up the wheel speed sensor and when I click the "learn 31 mi/h" button, I don't see anything happen. Any experience with this? 93 with minimal mods and stock sensors on transmission. I have tried both the Reluctor and Digital option for sensor type.

Just check ECU Data in the adaptronic and noticed the VSS signal does not seem to be fluctuating. Speedometer on the dash works though. I am assuming the transmission sensor is the one I am seeing in the ECU and the one feeding the dash. Any ideas?

When I had a Select PnP, I couldn't get the VSS to work accurately. It read, but only really worked like a switch. I believe the issue is the signal and that you'll need to find a way to get a signal from the sensor side vs the dash side of wiring iirc. I wired my VSS directly to my Haltech and it's dead nuts accurate compared to how it was wired from the factory.

When you wired it direct did you tell the ECU it was digital or reluctor (or is it different in the Haltech)?

Through the Haltech I have it as:
Digital-Frequency as the signal type.
Reluctor as the sensor type
Falling Edge

I'm not sure how the Modulars are as I haven't messed with them, but these settings give me dead nuts accuracy in the Haltech with how it's wired. (I also have Speedhut gauges that use GPS so the signal to the dash is completely unused in my application)

I thought I was the only one who wasn't getting any positive response from it. I am using the 440 select.. Was wondering if I connected to the wrong wire. Which wire do you guys use to get the signal?

are you looking for wheel speed or the speedometer signal?

Speedo signal to feed to the ECU.

Hey @newtgomez , would you mind sharing a bit more detail on how you got the correct VSS signal into the Haltech. Looking at the 1993 wiring diagram a see a few places where the signal is available. Some before the speedo and some after. Can you point out what wires from this diagram you used to feed the Haltech. Im in the process of documenting my PIN out for the haltech before I start on the harness and this is one detail I have yet to iron out. Thanks in advance!

This are the areas I have identified as having the speedo signal just no sure which one carries the right information for the Haltech:

G/R (green with red stripe) wire between X-15, X-07 and going to PIN 1M on 22 pin yellow connector. This seem to go thru the speedo cpu
Y/R (yellow with red stripe) and Y/W (yellow with white stripe) between X-15 and X-14. This seem to come straight from the sensor. Is this what you used to feed the Haltech? If so which of the two wires? Im planning on using PIN B8 on the haltech (SPI 1).

Old post, but I found my issue. The signal wire to the ecu had gotten snagged and broke just an inch or two from the ECU. Fixed that and now I have speed and gear signal working in the ECU.

Which wire (colour, etc) did you use to the ecu the speedo data?
