Start up guide for Modular PNP?

I could've sworn I saw a start up guide specific to the RX7 modular PNP, but now I can't find it. Anyone have a link?

Also interested, my pnp arriving next week.

It might've just been this start-up guide for the Select model that I found. I'm not sure how similar the two processes are.
Installation Guide: RX7 S6 FD Plugin ECU

I'm not sure but I'm planning to use Eugene, and I thought the fuel temp sensor is a good extra variable for their new fuel model, I thought I heard that somewhere.

I guess you could open their latest base map and check the parameters against this startup guide.

I ordered the fuel pressure sensor, which probably what you're thinking of
And I don't know if it's a Select/Modular difference or a WARI/Eugene difference, but the above guide doesn't look particularly accurate for the Modular ECU using Eugene

Thank you, that was exactly what I was looking for

Other things I've gleaned and believe to be true at this point:
When setting up the MAP table, you look to chart in 300 rpm increments unless you plan to rev over 8k rpm
Then when tuning boost initially, you begin with duty cycle set to 0 to make sure you don't overboost
MAC solenoids that are installed in place of the stock turbo solenoids (wired into the stock connectors) don't require any further setup changes, if they were working properly previously (with a PFC)

If anyone thinks I'm incorrect, please let me know
Also, please feel free to add any other setup suggestions that you believe might be relevant

Is there any reason to not have your map 31x31 instead of the default?
Will this allow for better tuning, or is it mostly a waste of time due to good interpolation with the regular, smaller grid?

Any reason not to emulate my ignition timing map and target AFRs from my PFC tune as a starting point? Both are based off of Chuck's notes

31 x 31 just takes longer to tune, but to be honest the new fuel model if setup properly will have much flatter VE table over all( especially when fuel pressure sensors are added). Meaning that even the larger resolution is still easy, especially if using interpolation hot keys.

In my experience only certain ranges need more resolution, and the interpolation between cells in this instance by the ECU is not enough. This is because its just not a flat change between those cells. I start off with 250RPM cell jumps for RPM, and less resolution in positive pressure. The most variances are in vacuum when it comes to load cell tuning.

If I have the stock fuel rails I need to cut the fuel line next to the oil filter and install a tee for the fuel pressure sensor? There's no provision on the stock system anywhere?

Just want to confirm, thanks.

On a bone stock setup, you can use an adapter to put the sensor into the OEM fuel temp spot on the secondary rail. Otherwise you have to " T" it.
Most people are using these sensors with aftermarket FPR fyi.

Thanks for the input :icon_tup:
