New ECU + Software Information
Hi Everyone,
We at Adaptronic are excited to announce our new ECU that will be tentatively available March 2016: Adaptronic Modular ECU ? available approx March 2016 | Adaptronic
We have also released a beta version software that will work with both the old and new platforms: http://adaptronic.com.au/files/Eugen...tallerV0.4.exe
The Adaptronic forum was down for some time due to some upgrades and that now that has been completed we have created a new thread dedicated to perfecting the new Adaptronic software. If you get a chance to try out the new software please report any bug/glitch's that you may find also any suggestions that will help improve the overall use of the ECU.

Note: we would also like to mention that this software is not ready to be used in a real life situation. Please refrain from tuning or adjusting your vehicle with this software. We will announce when the software is ready for this.
Thanks,
Team Adaptronic

Tried the new software from Wari13. It communicated. But now I cannot load through Wari13 anymore. What causes this? It just says no ECU found.
Need to learn how to use ugene. Cannot adjust the text fuel map or pan the 3d map. Also installing gauges the txt file is in psi and the gauge is in hg. Also did not see a gauge for A/F ratio yet. Need to play with it more

You have to unistall the windows 10 driver before you can use wari again after installing Eugene. Hopefully in the next 2-3 weeks there will be a new version of Eugene to play with.
I was using windows 7 started that came with the laptop. This laptop is only for the rx7. Never uninstalled windows before. Not even sure how to do that. lol

Hey guys ive been hanging for a PNP select for my FC for a while now, but just been waiting till I can justify it financially, was definitely looking at grabbing one this year.
But given this new ecu release, am I better off waiting for one of these? What price point are you thinking? Would the release of these ecu's make your select series "obsolete" ? Or would it still have full support?
Additionally would the release of this see a reduction or sale in the select series?
Sorry for so many questions, I think its great what you guys do and love that you offer pnp options for us FC owners.
I just dont wanna be the guy who buys an iphone 2 days before the new one is announced haha

Hi Everyone,
The latest Beta version of Eugene is available from this link: http://adaptronic.com.au/files/Eugen...ler_v0.1.4.exe. We urge you to try using it with the Select platform.
Change log:
1. MAJOR bug fixes.
2. Software auto-update feature.
3. Workspace saving feature.
4. Menu and window pinning feature - makes navigation and organization of windows easier.
5. Improved UI responsiveness.
6. Much faster 3D graph rendering and improved colors, added labels. Can reverse Y-axis.
7. 2D graphs display correctly now.
8. Coolant Temperature Correction tables are now merged into one table and is projected as a 3D graph.
9. Moving and resizing of windows is improved, actually follows mouse movement.
10. ECU files should be saved in User/Documents/Eugene. We recommend saving log files here as well for uniformity.
11. Working Contact page. Your current configuration (ECU file) will be snapshot and your latest log will be attached with the request. We will know if the request is made via Eugene.
Known issues:
1. "Save As" does not point to User/Documents/Eugene by default, should be an easy fix.
2. Modular mode still needs work.
To do:
1. Complete revamp of the log viewer.
--- This list will be edited as bugs are found by both us and the community. ---
As usual, since this is a beta release, we do not recommend tuning with this just yet.

Can you comment on this? From what I'm reading the modular ecu is more aimed at the select ecus and won't use the programming flexibility paradigm of the e1280s.
For me, this exact hardware in e1280s form would be killer. I have an e1280s that I plan on using on a current build but the only thing that the e1280s needs in my opinion is CANBus.

The E1280S I believe will only be sold on a case by case basis. Basically sold to someone who understands how to use the ECU, as it is overwhelming to most people.

Yeah. I have been tinkering off and on for quite a while now and it is definitely not for the faint of heart.
This can be found under the corrections tab. ( see attachment).
I am working with Andy on the ability to have the built in 3 axis accelerometer (G sensor) and rate gyro be used as part of the knock strategy, in addition to a knock sensor.
Really looking forward to the new modular ECU which is perfect timing for my project.
In the meantime i thought i would have a go at Eugene on my windows based laptop running Vista Home Premium 32bit. Eugene beta installed fine but the exe file fails immediately upon loading. I realise this is now an old OS but thought I'd you let you know FWIW. Wari v14 works perfectly though.
One feature I'd love to see is proper AC control that allow you to configure the TPS and RPM at which the compressor switches off, like the Haltech has had for years, since at least the E6K. Currently Adaptronic automatically switches off AC on WOT and that's it. EDIT: I've now realised that it may be possible to get AC to perform this way by using the logical aux outputs and an "AND" function for the AC output. Bit of a complex of way of doing it though, and would be great to see this logical functions build into the special functions themselves.
Are there any additional aux / special functions enabled in Eugene?
