I would imagine that if Shine used the original Foresight fenders to make a mold, that the same will hold true for the arch being lowered. So....yes.

Got mine today and the finish looks good. I could have killed the delivery guy for throwing them over my fence and into the back yard (luckily undamaged thanks to proper packaging). I install the engine in two weeks and then these babies go on. Will keep posted on fitment.

I believe the arch is lowered....just simply from looking at it. I knew something was different.

I still have my spot in the groupbuy and no longer want to purchase these. PM if you are interested in taking over my spot and thus buying these at the groupbuy price.

fenders do work with aftermarket sides. They're just a bit funny with OEM sides.

Anybody want to take my spot on the Group Buy? I'm going a different route, these aren't what I want anymore.

Are you referring to the S5 turbo factory side skirts? Can you elaborate what you mean by a bit funny?

Wow those look good. I'm a bit worried about the amount of damage that can be done if a wheel hits them.

I've recently contacted shine auto on these fenders and got a reply - so I'm sure they are still being made. Is the groupbuy over now though?

Hi Ken,

Just wanted to thank you for the fenders and offer up some pics from my install…

My overall assessment is quite favorable. You guys came with excellent recommendations on fitment and it shows. I had a few very minor pock marks to fit around the outside edges and one fender warped a bit so I had to pull it back in line. Beyond that all the door seems and fender lines are nicely done. Thanks for putting in the extra effort to the mold.

One thing thats probably worth noting… Although Foresight advertises these as +30mm fenders I’m only measuring found about +22 mm on mine. It should still work with the 17x9 wheels and 255 tires I’m running but it’s going to be damn close inside and out. This is including shaving off about half of the inner lip on the new fenders.

Pics and comments:

Everything off (ignore the v8 if you’re not into that kind of thing)

Comparing fit of Shine fender...

... vs. Stock (note the front end is on jackstands in these pics)

The wheels used in all pics are 17x9+35 with ½” spacers and 255/40r17 tires. I still have ~5 mm to my coilovers so I’ll likely end up running 9mm hubcentric spacers for a net 17x9+26 offset.

The OEM fender liner looks like it can be spaced outward no problem so fender liners won’t be an issue for those that want to run them

This was my first time spraying paint and I’m pretty happy with the results. As mentioned the door gaps looked great. Here's the installed version. I haven't adjust the fender liners yet so I still have my front suspension cranked about an inch higher than it'll ride eventually.

I was able to get everything fitted but if you felt like optimizing the mold even further my last suggestions would be a bit of extra meat on each vertical end and the lower tabs. I had to dremel out a few holes and there’s were a couple places with no section left on the edges.

The top surface inside the engine bay had plenty of meat but wanted to rest at an incline. I just filled in around the holes with some bumper repair compound to align the surface under the bolt heads. Again, something that could be improved but not a big deal either way.

Good work and thanks again.

could we get these a little larger than the ones the poster above has. I'm not asking for too wide but it seems he can hardly fit a 255 up front. Would a 245 look bad with a wider fender?

you can run a 195 if you want... it becomes more about the rim width and offset at that point... why do you need to be wider then a 255???

I dont think Ishibubu was asking for a wider fender in order to run a tire wider than 255.
I think he was asking for a wider fender so that a 255 would have much more room to spare... whish is a wise request as during track/hard driving the suspension does deflect and flex here and there and if you dont have a half inch of room everywhere then you will run the chance of ruining the nice fenders which would be a shitty happening at your day at the track.

nice pics frijolee! cant wait to see it all leveled out and ready to rumble!

shine, I gotta say you guiys make awesome stuff, if I had to start my project all over again with a plain jane FC, then I would go bonkers with shine aero parts for sure. nice to see a vendor working WITH the community and addressing concerns and requests, thats awesome.

The problem is the orginal foresight fenders weren't plus 30 as advertised. Shine did a great job optimizing what they copied but it tough when they didn't get what they planned on. 255s are definitely the limit with these and 245 would be safer.

I'm a little sad because the +30 I thought these were would be just about perfect for running 255s all around with room to spare. I'm just going to run my offset in nice and tight to the spring (3.5 inch diam) and I should be fine.
