Ready to flush my transmission fluid; a few Questions...
I have a 93 RX7 with a 5 speed transmission and I have a few questions about flushing the fluid.
Ok, first question is..... Which bolt is the one I use to refill the transmission with oil? I see a 4 point bolt with yellow sealant on it, so im assuming this is it but not sure,
Is this the right bolt? and what size socket do I use to remove it? ( im not too familiar with 4 point bolts.
And second question is.... is the big 5 point bolt on the bottom of the transmission the bolt to drain the oil?
and what size socket is this? Id really appreciate any ones help

You can use a regular wrench to remove the 4 point bolts same as how you'd remove a hex shaped bolt of the same size. I forget but you need sizes of 8-10-12mm (2 of those 3) to remove the fill plug and the secondary drain plug.
The main drain plug is the one at the bottom that's 24mm which requires a crush washer that you should replace. You should use thread sealant on the fill and secondary drain bolt threads before you torque them back in.
It's difficult for me to explain the location of the bolts so check out the FSM. Also, get a long clear tube and loop it up your engine bay or use a pump to put oil in your tranny. My advice for using gravity is to get a 8 foot long tube and loop it into your tranny case and then cut it so it only stick 4 inched above your engine back then attach a funnel, makes it a lot easier to fill.

you might want to check the FAQ thread or search
this information was covered and there are a couple of good threads out there with pics that will answer all your questions reliably

Do a search, it's more reliable
.
Thread sealant is a liquid gasket you apply to the threads on the bolts to prevent fluid from getting past them. The yellow line you see is probably it but you need to clean the bolt off and re-apply when you re-install.
