WTF??? BUR9EQP price increase???
I flooded my FD last week, pulled the plugs and they were soaked...just in case I decided to call my buddy at the parts dept. and order a set of NGKs expecting the old $7 and change and instead He goes: "they're $15.00 ea"!!!
What happened???? Does this have anything to do with mazda? Are our cars that old???? I ordered the set anyways but I feel like I need some counseling...no lube jailhouse lovin'. what a rip off! I'm hoping my boy was just messing with me or maybe screwed up. Options anyone? |
Thats nuts.
Always order online dude, its way cheaper. 7.60 here. http://www.sparkplugs.com/results_cr...9EQP&x=44&y=17 |
Umm, you didn't order plugs from the dealership, did you?
Did you try another store? Pep Boys, Advance, Autozone? -b |

2 weeks ago I got some for ~7
|
Advance Auto is still $6.99 a plug -
http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductD...pe=960&PTSet=A Yeah, the dealership will likely give you counter price, which is HORRIBLY overpriced. Dale |
Some of the dealers around here charge even more than retail - I've seen 20% above retail.

5.48 a plug where I live.
|
5.00 a plug here in cali
|
I have a whole box of these and the 7's. I think the person who gave you the price listed the higher up quality spark plugs. The 9's arn't the higher ups. These should be about 4-6 dollars depending on where you go. I saw the $15 plugs and they are suppose to be the iridiums or whatever. The person who gave you the price is just trying to get some spiffs at work or something. Trust me, I used to work for Kragen.

are u guys get the EQP's or the plain EQ's because the price here in phoenix is 14 for the EQP's and the EQ's are 7.50
|
^^In that case get the non-platinum. I've never seen much of a longevity difference between the two.
|
I was pissed cause I always got the EQPs for around 7 bucks. At least its not everyone just this place. I'll find out tomorrow for sure...the dealer might have just updated their price or something. This place was the cheapest and quickest, oh well.
thanx everyone!!!! |

Hey, I'm in cali also. Where do you get them for that price?
|
O'reilly costed around $5.50 each. The funny thing is you want the trailing plug cause in there system the 9's is for trailing and 7's for leading. I try to correct them but they think I'm crazy.
|
from wat i knew, they have always been 15 a piece?
|
They're about $8.xx at your local NAPA store.
