You need to contact David directly. They aren't sold through shops:

pm me if you're really interested. I have his personal number; maybe we can run a groupbuy?
I need a set as well.

Hi Kenn,
As Mahjik mentioned, usually people contact me directly - as the
post he referenced says, it's to maintain exclusivity (like a Veyron, ya'
know).

O-K, I kid. The Widefoot Swaybar Mounts are the "Veyron" of replacement
mounts, but the poor advertising is all on me. Let's see what we can do
to make up for it.

The current mount price is $215/set for normal cars (2 rotor, single piece
swaybar, stock mount radiator), with $12 shipping within the US via
USPS Priority Mail. If we can get at least five solid orders, I can do an
even $200, shipping included. There are some options for those with
three-piece bars, V8's, etc., so make sure to let me know how the car
is set up.

I also need to get site permission, which is TBD. Anyone remember
how one goes about doing that?

You can PM me, or email me at [brandname] at comcast.net.

Thanks,
David Breslau

I don't know David personally, but FWIW I was really happy with his response and my recent purchase of his WIDEFOOT FD pedal extension. Quick e-mail response and I had it in a week.

David rocks! His mounts are excellent as well.

Just buy them. They are very fairly priced for the craftsmanship and engineering that go into them.

what would be the cost for mounts for a v8 tripoint setup?

Hi Phoenix,
The V8 guys need spacers to lower the mounts clamping surface back to
stock height (the Widefoot raises "stock type" swaybars up from the road
surface to reduce debris/curb impact risk and lower the leverage acting on
the chassis). The spacers are bare 6061 AL, and add $35 to the cost
(total $235).

Thanks,

I would like a set as well, include me for a group buy. Just curious, what other products does WideFootRacing make?

GreatShamanGT 08-21-09 07:14 PM

What would these sway bar mounts do? Just add versatility?

flunkysama 08-21-09 11:07 PM

Widefoot swaybar mounts have been on my "eventually need to buy" list for a long time. If there is a group buy, you can count me in.

MrNizzles 08-22-09 01:28 PM

The sway bar mounts are just beefier, whereas the stock ones can bend, break or cause other damage.. like the lower rad mount and end link (pics) that's already bent on mine.

I'm in too, but I need shipping to canada. Let's get this going!

Hi Mr.N,
I've basically decided to open up the GB pricing to anyone, regardless
of order number. Anyone who wants a set can go ahead and order it
at $200, please PM me to get my paypal address.

If you place an order, please let me know your car's setup (swaybar,
radiator mounting, engine), so I can make sure you get the right parts.

Be aware that I have a limited number of sets on hand, and I'm not
sure when I'll be doing the next run (not hype, just six sets in stock).

Thanks,
David

Dangit, didn't answer the question! The other popular product we make
(and the source of the "Widefoot" name) is a pedal adapter that makes
it much easier to heel and toe when downshifting. There's threads about
it on the Forum, or you can PM me for more info.

Hi GSGT,
As Mr.N said, they're much more robust that stock mounts, and prevent the possibility of
frame damage due to the "rocking" motion the stock mounts allow during every corner
or bump the suspension sees. This constant rocking eventually can lead to metal fatigue
and fracture of both the OEM mount, and the frame rail it bolts to (a real pain to fix).

My mounts are extremely stiff, but even more they're more stable than other options
due to a unique stabilizer clamp that keeps them from rocking during use. So they don't
fail, they prevent frame damage, and work with any swaybar (although some need
spacers for proper use).

There's a number of threads on the Forum with more details, you can do some searching
if you'd like, or PM me for more info.

I'm intentionally bringing back to life an old thread. The most recent post from David,(widefoot), is in this post and with my problems with him right now, this may be the best thread rather than start another.

I'm reaching a wall and want some response.

I'll keep this civil and short with the details.

Previously I'd ordered a widefoot pedal extension, and had excellent communication/response and shipment speed. The product was of course great.

So in Feb of this year,(2010), I ordered a set of widefoot sway mounts, V8 spacers and the Tri-point bronze bushings sets he has. Paid in full at time of purchase,(Feb).

I still don't have any product.

A few discussions - but lots of unanswered e-mails. I understand David took a new job,(he told me), and the machine had some issues. But your continued lack of a response to someone who has paid you over $400 for parts is absolutely abysmal and unacceptable. Unfortunately for me, I'm beyond the time where I can lodge a paypal dispute, so I'm taking it here to shame a response.
I'll leave it at that - I still want the parts ,but if you can't provide them, please provide a refund. At a min, please respond to my e-mails.

For anyone else reading - I really need the V8 spacers and would really like the Tri-point bronze bushings. I've sourced another set of widefoot mounts,(Thanks Fritz), but w/o the spacers, I can't even mount a stock bar with a V8 swap. If you have any, or know of someone how might, please post or PM me the info. Even if only the dimensions so I can make something to bridge the gap.
Sincerely,
Bob H

i made my own spacers out of 1" aluminum. ill look and see if i have any more material around, but i don't think so. i just guessed on thickness and used the stock mounts as a reference for bolt hole spacing.

MSTHTD1 10-01-10 07:31 AM

Will these mounts work with a Blitz fmic?

Bob H 11-30-10 11:16 PM

I wanted to follow up that I finally got 1/2 the order. He made a set of v8 spacers for me finally, and found a set of his bronze bushings in his shop laying around. He was supposed to refund the sway bar mounts amount - that hopefully will come,(was a month ago).
Overall - the product is still top notch - however now that David has a different job in a different city from where he was - service took a big time back seat.
He and I finally worked it out - but it took direct calls - zero answers to e-mails when things fell behind each time,(several).
Bottom line - I just can't recommend working with him now unless he has a product already made - i.e. don't pay ahead of time unless he says he has one in stock. I was apparently the last one he took payment from ahead of time and the 5-8 or so still "waiting" for him to build some more didn't pay anything. I'd be very, very wary of paying up front.
Short recap - paid in late Feb 2010. Got some of the products in early Nov of 2010 and should be getting a refund for the mounts,(don't have it yet, but fully expect it).
