why do so many people go single and somtimes
dont even hit 10,s.............. and how long do you expect
your motor to last after all that abuse on the track

please respond about longevity from your motor

Sorry guys, but who can explain me , what is wastegate <<ported >> ?

Opened up so you can get rid of more exhaust so that you don't overboost. If the hole is too small more exhaust will go through the turbine and generate more boost, which creates more exhaust etc etc...
If you have it ported (Opened up more) you can avoid the cycle and better controll boost, since you can always close the wastegate more with an ECU you don't loose anything in power, but gain a whole lot in predictability and reliability.

For more info on turbos and wastegates, go to www.howstuffworks.com it's the same for Rotaries or Piston Engines. Twins are a bit more complicated. Since we're talking non sequencial, think of them running the same as 1 just both doing the same thing @ the same time...

Running high 10's was no easy task...... with a single it would have happenned earlier for sure.
With a single I should be able to produce same power as the twins with 2-3 psi less.
Up to 15-16psi the twins seem to last quite well.....but higher boost does shorten their life span quite a bit......I've replaced one of the twins at least twice last year.

My motor has now ~12K miles since I built it last March. Motor was ported, clearanced and everything was re-used besides seals, springs, o-rings and gaskets.
As long as you stay away from detonation everything will stay together.
