Who makes the thinnest sandwich adapter?

I'm looking for the thinnest sandwich adapter since I want as much room as possible to change the oil filter. I have the AutoExe front strut bar so changing the oil filter is already a pain in the ass. Greddy? ReSpeed? Others? Also, is it difficult to relocate the oil filter? TIA.

I would NOT use the greddy filter relocation. While I think the majority of their products are first-rate, my old roommate had the Greddy oil filter relocation on his FD and it failed multiple times. We'd be crusing along, and he'd suddenly lose oil pressure, it made a huge mess and left us stranded. He installed it correctly with all of the provided hoses and fittings. After the second time this happened he ended up getting rid of it.

Respeed fits without effecting the filter.

Goodfella: What do you recommend?

I was thinking about the ReSpeed until yesterday when I read this:

the new respeed units are of a different design made of one piece.

The pedestal was revised to fix that problem a long time ago. I wonder if that person ever sent theirs back to get it updated. I bought one of the originals as well and ReSpeed updated it free of charge (well, I paid to ship it to them ;) ). The pedestals are fine now.

Should I wait for them to come out with the oil filter relocation kit?

That's up to you. IMO, I don't see a point in relocating the oil filter. Are you trying to install an aftermarket oil temp/pressure gauge?

Well I want to relocate the oil filter because its kind of hard to get to with my AutoExe Strut Bar. When you relocate the oil filter, where does it go? I am installing Defi Oil Temp. and Oil Pressure soon.

The relocation can go anywhere you can fit it. I doubt you'd find a good place to relocate it with that strut bar.

That's the problem though with that strut bar, they are really suited for full track/race cars where maintenance is done with the car half assembled per say. They aren't really suited for normal street cars as they make maintenance a nightmare.

Would I be able to move the oil filter closer to my battery? I already have a Odyssey PC680 but haven't had a chance to put it in. I just don't know what to do with the tie down and tray.

Well, that strut bar makes it kind of tough. For the sake of your oiling system and bearings, I'd recommend not relocating it, using the new/upgraded RESpeed mount, and just resigning yourself to the fact that you have some difficult oil changes in your future.

Is this one the right one to get? Or do I need the other one?

Depends on if you're using the stock banjo bolt or a -10 oil line. You'll most likely want the one you referenced in the link.

i'm using a racing beat one for the rx8, fits the fd just fine. i can easily change my oil filter, though i just have the stock tower brace
