where do i put jackstands?
 
hey as you can tell i am not too familiar with the undercarriage of the rx7, and was wondering where is the best place to place jackstands?? jeff

On the tow hooks if you're jacking up the front. Thats what I do.

NO! the tow hooks are not designed for lifting or supporting the car. there is a very good chance of the car slipping off stands used under the tow hooks .:eek:
Put them on the jacking points directly behind the front wheels and in front of the rear wheels - check your owners manual - jack the car with a floor jack under the front subframe or under the diff, again check the owners manual or the Fact. Service Manual - they are available on line I believe.

Front frame rails, and right behind the front ball joint on the trailing arms in the rear. This seems to be the safest, most stable position. You can also use the rear lower control arm mounts on the rear x brace, just inside the joint.
