what is wrong:(((??

hi there

i don't know what just happened, haven't been driving my car for a week, had to sort some things out, i had to replace:

radiator and hoses, eliminated ast, changed bottom crankshaft pulleys, replaced power steering pump tank, front shock absorber, brake pads, and drive belt(done some interior stuff as well but i don't think this is related to my problem)

basically i have just refilled my cooling system, started the engine for first 30 seconds there was a white smoke coming out my exhaust pipe(i think that was because i haven't been driving it but i dont know) then it was ok, engine sounds bit different then before i replaced those things. basically i want to accelerate and when i put my foot down car starts choking and loosing revs(well it sounds like it) i looked under the bonnet whilst engine was running and asked my m ate to press acceleration , same thing but i have noticed that air pump pulley, stops spinning when i accelerate. dont know but i got some weirid feeling that this is because i have done something to them pulleys but i don't know what

the other thing is, when i was replacing the power steering tank i had to unplug the cable at the back of the p/s pump and when i was doing it cable just snapped(well it's still in one piece but i heard it)
this is the cable i'm talking about(does it have something to do with those power looses?

please...i want to start driving my car...

if your airpump isnt working, your car could be running too rich at idol...causing it to idol unsteady. are you saying the belt doesnt have proper tension or what? did you get the right size belt? its really important since the water pump pully is on the same belt...

airpump is working, it spins but when i accelerate it stops spinning, i think the belt has got the right tension, its not too tight and not too loose, everything works ok until i accelerate..

and yes i got the right belt, i went to halfords and they have found the right one for the car i have got..

Looks like the metering oil pump wires and connector--if there is a broken wire your engine wii be in "limp" mode.

There is a 'sticky'at the top of this section called Tech Manual Directory, click on it,then on the first link.there you will find the Factory Service manual for a 1993 RX7.Section D p14 gives you the trouble shooting procedure for the electrical side of the MOP.check Section C for getting at the MOP.

Bad white smoke

Hello. I have an 81 rx7. I had just replaced the old intake and carb with an RB 4bbl intake and a holley carb. I had got it to start. But it smokes white smoke. And bad. I didnt bother hooking up the oil lines Just to get it fired. I just mixed in some Marvel Mystery oil in the gas tank.. I may have used a bit much. But im really hoping that coolant isnt finding its way into the engine somehow.

ok i have checked MOP wire and plug, theinsulation was snapped, not a cable, what i did was i have cleaned the wires and plug and then i put some insulation tape around every single wire with broken insulation(was 3 of them) then i have taped it all up with a new tape, looked ok to me, i have cleaned the plug as well
(one thing i wasn't sure about is :there was no pin in the socket (just one)

i dont know if iit ok but this is how it looks now.

i have started the engine but it was still the same engine doesn't sound like it works properly, it's like something was breaking up...when i started the engine i looke at the hand brake light and it was kinda flashing, not all the time but i took it like the car wasn't getting enough power or something(i tried to video it but when i was recording, the light stayed stabil), i pressed acceleration and car started to choke again...i have recorded a video so you can hear the engine

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmOdWjzMjcM

any ideas??

i was messing up with the interior, is it possibl;e that i have done something to the wiring?

help....

Kinda stupid but how many miles on the engine - white smoke - engine not sounding right all sound like a seal gone.

You need to start by checking your engine codes. If you car does not have a Check Engine Light on the dash, follow what you need to do in this link:

ok i had to go to the garage, went to Mazda dealer, don't even ask how much they charge p.a but there was no choice. Don't know if you guys interested but just to keep you updated, or maybe someone will have similar problem - it's worth checking.

scar from my invoice:

car is up and running really nice, but i'm bit worried about my turbo.. thinking of taking it back there for more tests.
