What filter is this and where can I get a replacement?

Can anyone tell me what filter is utilized in the attached image? They run off the stock twin turbos. I lost (broke off) one during a recent drive and I can't seem to find a similar filter through random searches. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's just a breather filter. Run to your local parts store and look in their ricer section.
|
You can typically use lawn mower filters on those. Check your local home improvement store as you'll probably find one there for a few bucks.
|
K&N also sells small breathers as well.
You don't really need them on the stock blowoff valves. They never suck in, just blow out. Dale |
Thanks guys. I really appreciate the quick responses and advice.

Mazda's Opinion

In case anyone cares what Mazda thinks about the ever-popular cone filters in the engine compartment, have a look at the Service Bulletin below. :egrin:
(Note that these filters also "draw heated, engine compartment air" into the turbos...) |
Wow all that heat under the hood cooking wiring harnesses, engines, radiators, and turbos, and Mazda is worried about the air pump. LOL
|
Heat?...under the hood? Wow...who knew?
Glad I'm not jeapordizing my warranty with one of those. |
I believe it. I'm on my 3rd air pump at 96k miles. How the the first two die? Bearing failure.
