Was running Mobil1 15/50. Will be changing to Mobil1 10/30 because I don't think it matters which one I use, and 10/30 is much cheaper at Costco. They they don't carry 15/50 :D
|
i've never been much of an oil aficionado. I just use regular castrol 10-30 or the equivalent.
|
Havoline 10-30 every 1.5-2k + new filter Car is all oem with 77k on the clock and counting

Mobil 1 10/30 every 1000 miles.
I probably use 2 quarts to flush the old oil out, but thats just me being super anal. |
hmmmm.... same shit... just change your oil every 3000 miles and your engine will be happy with which ever oil you put in.... even cooking oil!!!! I never heard of someone blowing up thier motors becuase they put mobile 1.

Been using Royal Purple 20w50 for a while now. Been pretty pleased with it. Gonna try switching to Amsoil synthetic and see if that gets my dying twins to smoke less.

All of the engines parts are worn down by this not just the housings. Also, when the engine is taken apart for a busted apex seal/coolant seal the parts aren't worn nearly as bad. Ask me how I know this. But hey go ahead and change your oil every 3000 miles I know better. |
royal purple 10w 30, i heard idemitsu is good too (made specifically for rotaries) but i'm using the mobil 1 oil filter (exp!!!!) changed about every 1-1.5k

isnt it bad to mix syn. and non-syn?
