It really sounds like you've thought this through....

If you need to get your car back up and running quickly, get a Mazda re-man from Crowe Mazda and slap it in there. It doesn't get faster than that. You could see what the rebuild time would be from several of the good tuners as well.

Dropping in a completely new engine, even with a kit like Hinson Super Cars will take much longer to get everything worked out (as well as costing MUCH, MUCH more, I might add....).

Another FD about to be turned into junk, or at least someone else's project car.

If you want it running quickly, stick with a stock rebuild. There are several engine swap threads, only ONE of the cars is actually running, and I don't think it to the point where it actually drives.

Sit down and do some serious reading. You can do everything to a 13b that you can to a 20b.

A 20B in a FD is pretty much cool for show. No one really has a track ready 20b. See any of the fastest drag FDs running 20b? Any of the fastest track FD running 20b. NOPE.

HAHHAHA a 4age in a rx7. That would be the slowest rx7 ever, they have like 110hp right?

ok, how come you would want anything other then a LS1??? do you like the fact that all those other engines will not give you as much torque, or hp, or relibility, or will probally weight more, or are untested?

just look at the only LS1 FD right now, 11.8 secs are not bad for a N/A, very relible FD!

Ughhhh *Shudders*

Why would you want any other engine than a rotary in a 3rd gen RX-7 anyways? The reason you buy an RX-7 it to be kinda different and whoop up on many other cars doing it. I cringe at the though of puting a Ls1 , 2jz-gte, or the nissan 2.6 L skyline engine in a RX-7.

Most of the fastest rx7's have the 13b... the 13b was the motor used in the fastest import street car in the world in 2000... in 2000 the fastest import car in the world ran a 13b... the 13b has maney other tites acredited to it I just dont want to type them out... 13b actaully really sucks... damn I hate motors that can pull over 400 to the wheels on a compleatly stock block...

Agree with Skunks. If i was swapping out my motor to anything it would be the LS1 engine. Other then that i'd stick to my 13B engine.
