What does this do???
On the throttle body there is a piece that looks like wastegate. I would run a search but I do not know what the peice is called so please dont flame for that. Eitherway the person that I bought the car from looks as though he zip tied it so its always open. good/bad? thanks for any input

lol. go to www.photobucket.com and sign up. once you signed or just upload the pics from your desktop (could take a while if youre using dial up). and when its uploaded look at the small image. youll see

looks about right to be the sprung hinge that touches the wax rod - that double throttle, warm up or idle control?
i'm forgetful - whatever - just don't thrash it until it gets completely warmed up and it is no big deal... course, Mazda put everything on the engine for a reason, so why not cut the zip-tie off?
