weird idle problem development

OK guys, new development on my idle problem.

I removed the throttle body colant, the AWS and the double throttle.

My problem is that my idle doesn't go below 1000.

Here is what i found. When i let the car in place at a stop let say, the car stays up to 1000 but when i play with the fan speed inside the car, the idle will get back to it's normal position, 750-800.

HUH???

what could cause this? I suppose that giving him a load on the electrical system does that but what kind could keep me at 1000?

Please tell me if you understand anything or if you have any clue.

thanks a lot

Have you reset your ECU properly? I honestly don't know if what changes you made would require it, but even so, if you haven't, do.

yep i reset it many times.

broken gasket?

puma May 12, 2002 07:23 PM

which gasket?

if i have a leak, shouldn't i read less vaccum? at 1k, i read 20 mm of vaccum which seems normal. When i get back to 750, my vaccum is at 750.

Maybe your fast idle cam is sticking?

ok still new development, it is really an electrical problem.

When my driving lights are on, my idle is perfect and as soon as i turn them off, my idle goes back to 1000.

I'll check something tomorrow.

maybe the resistor i used to replace the AWS solenoid isn't the good one.

we'll see tomorrow.
