Question Weird Electrical Problem

So, I stop at the gas station this morning... hapily driving my 7. I let the turbo timer count down and shut off the engine. I start filling up with gas. I turn on the radio to listen to some music and then decide to check my oil. I check it (fine btw) and close the hood a little harder than normal but not too much. I notice my radio has cut out. I say hmmm. I finish pumping gas and try and start the car, nothing... nothing at all. I start to understandably freak out. I pop the hood wiggle a few connectors after I check the fuses (the looked OK). I try again and low and behold it starts... then proceeds to stall (twice). I rev the car a bit and start the trek back home. It dies on the way out of the parking lot when I step on the brake. Restart and continue... now I see either the check engine light or ABS light come on for sec and then it runs OK all the way home.

I have had some issue in that before my car would idle a bit low in the RPMs and you can see the lights visibily dim and then the RPMs would get back to normal.

Any thoughts???

Thanks,

Victor

Well I'd just attempt tightening all power and grounds that you have and makesure with a little more in depth look that you don't have a short. I had something similar where everything seemed to be fine, but after closer inspection my power wire to the main fuse box was slipping out of the crimped connection. Just my 2 cents

Chaco, it's just your power cord or ground. Replace them both.

Could also be corrosion between the battery and the terminals. I have had it where you tap the terminal and it would start. Stop overnight and it would not even click the next day.

Take the terminals off, clean them, and tighten them back up.

vchacon, I had this problem too alot of times. There are some THICK grounds/positive wires running near the battery area ( I beleive their for the whole car and for the starter) anyways check their condition they should end with a plate. When I get home I'll try to take a pic to show you.
