so long as you have your interrior you can get a new project car 1987 turbo II for a trade. Sound deadening isn't important to me. Heheh I tried. :D

bosscobra 06-01-06 11:01 PM

yea sounds good, so far then im going to get the folowing, i love my hood but they make the same thing in carbon fiber and the hood came on the car so i didnt pay anything extra for it, so carbon hood, carbon hatch, lexan rear window, (do the plexy glass side windows look like shit or do they look and work like factory windows?) lightweight driveshaft, im goin 8.8 wich is aluminum diff so that saves weight, the strongest, yet lightest axels i can find, cargo bin is gone, jack and spare tire are gone, smog pump is going, fiberglass fenders, already have a sleek headlight kit that came on the car, looks like shit tho and doesnt line up well so thats getting replaced by a better one, getting an aluminum radiator, the exaust is prolly gona be stainless if i can get it welded up for a decent price, i am acually going all aluminum ls2 on this one untill i can afford to build up a shell and throw a build 13b or 20b in it, for the sole purpose of i drive this every day and my engine i have is a fresh rebuild and is already takin a shit on me, so somthin a little more reliable that i can build good power with still, im goin all lightweight internals, flywheel, and clutch on that tho so it shouldnt really add a hole lot more then like 15 pounds to the car because its all aluminum block, and heads, that and some other small things, got 245x19 in the front and 275x19 in the rear, what should i be done to when its all said and done?

bosscobra 06-01-06 11:08 PM

spelling correction "down" not "done" lol my bad

Mazda_Power 06-02-06 12:12 AM

So how bad does it rattle now?

bosscobra 06-02-06 12:24 AM

if your talkin to me about the rattle, lol my car rattles a hole shit load at a stop light cause it trys to die, or it just dies, and if i get on it, sometimes it goes good, others it sounds like ass and has no power, thus why im putting an ls2 in it

LUPE 06-05-06 05:39 PM

Well, I dropped another 10 lbs off my car today. I bought some new front tires that only weigh 12 lbs each. That's 10 lbs less than my old front tires.

:)

Cgotto6 06-05-06 06:25 PM

Damn dude. You spend so much money on this car. What do you do for a living if you dont mind telling?

I'm just trying to get the car finished so I can either enjoy it or sell it. The wife and I have been thinking about moving to Jamaica for missionary work although we haven't decided yet.

I've really slowed the spending down since I've gotten married.

I work in the Telecommunications field.

bosscobra 06-06-06 11:36 PM

how wide are those rear tires? and it looks like rear flares might be just the light tho, im thinking about putting flares on the cuarters and getting wider wheels custom made so i can bolt my centers into them, hopefully wanna shofe a 300 wide tire in the back, seem possible?

bosscobra 06-06-06 11:39 PM

spelling correction "shuving" not sure if thats right either but ya'all get the point, lol

I have the wider feed quarter panels molded on with some 10 inch wide wheels.

Lupe, my cars stripped too but i had to put in padding and a rug for the drivers side flooring.

How did you deal with this!?

It has that 2 by 2 reinforment pressed into the chassie right under the brake pedal, i couldnt deal with that hell no, i was thinking about getting someone to weld in a metal floor board above it but you said you removed the padding so you must have had to deal with it somehow.

Yes, I used small bolts to secure it. I don't have any pictures and since it's under the carpet ......... I doubt I'll get pictures anytime soon. :)

DriftTrix 06-07-06 02:21 PM

Well, I don't really get into religious discussions on the net because it always turns ugly. About being the married type, I'm still working on that :)

We love Ochos Rios!

Actually yes, It's either Jamaica or Hong Kong. We both chose Jamaica (If that's what we decide to do). Been married for almost three years :)
