Water temp gauge linearization mod

I'm searching for this mod and I keep running into links that no longer work. I've found this link Temp guage inaccuracy??? 'https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=252334' a couple of times only to be directed to this link 'http://www.geocities.com/sdrx7_club/technical.html' and this 'http://www.iluvmyrx7.com/3rdgen/how-to/Temp%20gauge%20mod.pdf' both no longer work.
Someone know the link?

I think the general feeling on this is you should just get an aftermarket temp gauge. The stock unit is junk and is not worth wasting your time on. Especially since water temps are so inportant. I dont want to just know my temps are just in a "range" thats supposedly good. I want hard numbers to go off of.

I understand the desire to linearize the stock gauge. sometimes you just don't want to deal with the clutter of aftermarket water temp gauges

Iluvmyrx7 went down a long time ago and I think yahoo just closed geocities or is about to

Thanks for the info but I gotta pull the instrument cluster to fix my tach so I thought I would linearize the temp gauge while I'm there. That is, if I can find the "how to".

I have it in PDF form, but it's too large to attach here. PM me your email address, and I'll send it to you.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I couldn't find anything more current, and the links in here are dead. I too am going to have my cluster out to fix the tach, and figure I should try the linear mod for the water temp gauge. I get the actual water temp displayed on the PFC Commander anyway, so I'm not going to replace the gauge just yet. Anyone know if instructions are still available online?

Did you right-click the original link and do "Save As"?

Yeah, tried that, but that just wants to save some PHP file, instead of the actual zip file...

I'm glad that this is being preserved. This is a great mod for those who want to preserve the stock look of their cabin.

Thanks for saving the PDF Mahjik. I just downloaded it.

If anyone needs a copy, I'll add my name to the list of folks that will email it ... just PM me.

Hi Everyone,
It seems that the docs for this mod have been lost over time ... here's the doc for future reference:

Thank you!
