Mazda 93 94 95 Rx7 Rx-7 V-mount Intercooler Kit for FD

If the pipe going from the IC to the intake is really stupid looking.

mecman 11-12-04 04:31 PM

Looks like a large stock mount to me. A true V-mount would include mounting the radiator differently.

Klar 11-12-04 04:35 PM

The parts on the engine in that car look like a$$. Poor car. It doesn't even have ducting for the "V-mount".

KaiFD3S 11-12-04 04:39 PM

looks like a hot air v-mount kit to me with the radiator fans directly facing it..

Should be like this...

That setup is poorly engineered.

Agreed, its not a real vmount since the rad. is still mounted stock, only the intercooler is angled, and the piping does look ghetto...lol

Exactly.

turbojeff 11-12-04 04:54 PM

If you look at the pics it wasn't operational at the time. There aren't enough hose clamps on the couplers. Stock piping is 2.75", 2.5" is a step backwards.

Looks like someone was trying to save some money and build an IC, then they found out it sucked...

saburo 11-12-04 05:02 PM

some idiot actually bid on it

dpankros 11-12-04 05:13 PM

Despite the fact that they don't know what an intercooler does (or they'd actually have a duct), did you happen to notice the sh**y condition of that 7? Everything's all rusted and oxidized. There's even rust on the belts!! I wouldn't trust any part of of that POS, not to mention a custom piece.

I can't believe that someone bid on it. Hopefully they're just going to use the core for some other project.

It's an insult to poorly engineered products to even compare that to them.

No engineering thought of any kind went into that.

What BS line is that about the multiple welded pieces of shit pipe being the Japanese theroy. Yeah right.

Sad.

Madmax670 11-12-04 06:03 PM

an intercooler is merely a radiator for air, find one that will fit as a front mount on your car and find someone to bend some pipe for you, u will save a lot of money and it will be just as good as any of those pricey kits out there.

1QWIK7 11-12-04 06:15 PM

damn thats funny

look at the ast, its all awkward, looks like its about to fall hahahahaha

o man, people amaze me sometimes

Madmax670 11-12-04 06:21 PM

cloud9 11-12-04 06:24 PM

looks like a failed experiment to me

rx7dv8 11-12-04 06:27 PM

Look at his engine....looks all corroded!

Comptech 11-12-04 06:30 PM

Or a stock mount sum guy installed while drunk...

web777 11-12-04 07:00 PM

The piping is aweful!! There are so many things they should've done differently.

S-MAN 11-12-04 07:08 PM

Can u say UGLY. Defently not a v-mount, i hope no one on this forem bid on it.

atihun 11-12-04 09:07 PM

If you know the person that bid on it, tell them to withdraw their bid.
