Two "minor" problems, please help!

Hello again,

I apologize in advance if there has been threads on these before. I DID search; however it was very brief and i'm already late for work. (Why am I writting this if i'm already late?.. Good question!)

First problem.. not really a major thing at all, but kind of annoying and I think that my clutch is going but...
When i'm in first gear at a stop light (Normally I drop it to neutral) the car stumbles a bit at idle.. this is a weird problem because it doesn't always happen, was driving around yesterday and i'd say about 50% of the time it would do it. BUT only in first gear, if I was in 2nd or neutral at a stop light it would purr like a kitten.

Secondly!

This one is really driving me nuts. Turned off the car last night, locked it up and went to bed. (Seems normal, but wait!) I get up to drive my girlfriend to work and my door won't open. (No it's not locked)

The driver's side door seems to be stuck when trying to open it from the outside. I had my girlfriend open up the driver side door from the inside. What seems to be happening is that the handle will go up.. but the door won't come out. (Not sure about this) I took the assembly apart and sprayed some WD40 on the inside and the handle opens easier but the door still won't open from the inside.

What should I dooooo?!

Thanks in advance for the help!

How many miles on the car? Any mods? The stumble could be a few different things - if you give us some more info, we may be able to help more.

As for the handle - you may simply have to replace it. Mine did the same, and it was on the inside where the metal rod connects in the handle; it had broken off. Wish I had a pic...

My door handles have been given me the same problem lately, but I seem to have figured it out. Take off the interior panel above the door panel and undo the nuts. Then pull the handle out and from the outside you have to manually push the unlocking rod down (forget which one). After playing with it for a bit it should open. I then lubercated all the hinges and mechanisms and havn't had a problem again. Hope this helps.

Anyone else for door handle problems and thoughts on the stumbling in 1st gear issue?

I also had the stumbling problem. It only happened in 1st and it wasn't consistent. I found that my throw out bearing was not in the best shape. I am not sure if this is the solution, but it could be one thing you might want to check. Everything else on the clutch was in good condition as well.
