Hey I was wandering about brake upgrades, I have planed to go project mu 2 piece rotors front and rear with stock calipers and just wanted to know if any one had experance with the project mu stuff. Also people with other set ups feel free to give your 2 cents.

Why anyone would pay the price premiums associated with Project Mu, I don't know....

Go to the Suspension forum, there are several good brake threads there -- make sure to view the archive section.

BTW, bigger brakes won't make you stop any faster. Braking is tire limited with the FD, not brake-system limited (until you get on the track with R-compounds).

You can come by slotted brembo rotors, s/s goodridge lines, and some nice hawk hp+ pads for less than $500 for all 4 corners......

i got the brembo f/r rotors and the hawk hp+ pads installed today very happy

yea but instead of a big brake kit you could go and have 2-piece rotors all the way around, larger than stock rotors but retain the stock caliper which is more than efficent for extreme driving (4 piston front and 2 rear). And mu is the only company that i have found that sells the 2-pice rotors to go with stock calipers.

They're not larger than stock rotors unless they are relocating the caliper. Also, those rotors are over $600/pair(!) for essentially no performance gain over stock (unless they really are larger with relocated calipers).

In other words, it's a big waste of money.
