I need help figuring out why a turbo control would be stuck in the on position.
Now before you start flaming I have been thru all troubleshooting guides and links in the FAQ that how I got to this point.
I have identified the component that is leading to my issue.
Symptom: Sometime when I stay boost past primary and into secondary and staying in secondary for a long time(4th and 5th Gear), I would temporary loose my primary once I wind down. By temporary I mean sometime just a few second, sometime the whole drive home. But it usually goes away after a few minutes, so I can never get home soon enough to crawl under and identify which of the valves are stuck.
Tonite I lost primary the whole way home. It sounds like someone is shaking a paint can when I push on the gas, the car wont primary at all but boost in secondary just fine just like every time. I was able to get under the car and look at the position of the 3 actuators. Then I went back for a drive to try to get it to go away and it fixed it self so I can home and look again. Here I identify that the turbo-control actuator was the one stuck open. It makes sense since I only loose my primary but secondary is fine(kinda like a super big turbo lag).
So now I am at a point that I know this is the component but has anyone run into sticky turbo control before and what did you do to address it? Please let me know.

Yes, and it was because too much pressure was being fed to the solonoid. I now have a pressure regulator coming off the pressure tank that keeps it at 10 psi.

Hmmm I think I may need to do this too but do you think boosting at only 12psi will do this? Originally Posted by ptrhahn

Also do you mind sharing a pic and some more detail of this setup?

turbo control (pressure side) solenoid 'E' is a common culprit. It will frequently stick open.
Now has anybody else experienced this? I am wondering how can I check my solenoid when the problem is very inconsistent!?!
