Spark Plug Question

My car recently started losing top end power, so I thought the plugs could be the problem (never changed them). Low and behold, swapped them out for 9's all around, and the car runs great again!

Question though, when I was installing the new plugs, the trailiing plugs didnt seem to thread down as far into the block as the leading plugs did. Is this normal? Or do I need a thin-walled socket? I didn't notice the spark plugs location when I removed them so I have nothing to go off of. Any help?

If it's nice and tight, I probably wouldn't worry about it. I don't remember if they all went in the same distance when I did mine though. If you wan't to be safe, take the plugs back out, make sure the threads are nice and clean, and try a diffrent socket.

I probably will soon. It was wierd, both trailing plugs went in the same distance.. and were snug. I didn't want to strip the threads so I didnt push it.. but they were by no means loose. The car did get all of its power back though so that felt great.
