something i am over looking!!! Idle issue

Thanks guys for looking. (i have looked as well and searched)
After replacing the UIM and deleting the double throttle system. I am experiencing low idle hunting issues @ neutral and coming to to rest at the stop light. the idle is hunting from 500-800 RPM. I have not made any adjustments to the idle bleed screw nor the idle adjustment screw @ the throttle body yet. This issue seems to be happening after the car is warmed up and just wants to stall out.
What am is Missing?????????????

I have done the following
-double checked the vac lines for leaks.
-checked for any other loose lines and electrical sensor hook up.
Keep in mind that the car had no other issues before the double-T delete and changing out to a polished(reason for the UIM) UIM exchange.

Thanks

(ISC)idle-speed control system is being looked at. I hope that the (isc) is out of wack. @ least this part can be changed out. Just need to get my hands on a ohmmeter for a reading.

I eliminated my isc by making a makeshift solid gasket and some gasket maker to block it off, hasnt worked since day one but the solenoid inside eventually took a dump and my idle went everywhere, I would also suggest looking at the iac, thats the main source for idle control, or as far as i know, my resistance reading stays in spec for the iac awhen at room temp, appx 70-80 degrees F but when its cold or hot bounce everywhere, and the iac isnt cheap

you have hit my problem right on the head of the nail. This shit sucks. :) Off to the Sears to buy a fluke reader so i can test the resistance on the solenoids

Any updates? I'm having the same problem after the DT removal.

caredden 09-21-08 04:57 PM

It was the ISC (Idle Speed Control)...

Right on...

Update!!! I guess the ISC unit decided to crap out and was not holding the set idle 850 rpm. Interesting that this piece held out for so long on my 93vr :)
