A number of issues contribute to wheel hop on hard launches, but there are differing opinions as to what exactly causes it. Many feel it is flex in the rubber bushings used in a number of rear suspension components, while others feel it is that and flex in the trailing arm/toe links, while others feel it is suspension setup. Your 18-inch rims/tires may look bling, but they don't do much for performance. Do a search here and on Ciriani's site, and you'll get a ton of info.
