Small Problem?

alright when i start up my car, as usual it revs higher than idle for the warm up, but during this, theres a LOUD squeeking noise, sounds like nails on a chalk board, but then it pretty much goes away when the car comes down to regular idle. anyone know what this could be?

Sounds like a slipping belt.

Either tighten the belt or make sure that all of the accessories turn with the normal torque. A seizing clutch on the A/C compressor, for example, will cause that.

Airpump clutch too. Unlug the airpump and see if the noise goes away.

I agree with Dave. I had a very similar problem on startup and it turned out to be a loose belt. Very simple fix...
