Rotary Extreme has HID option, RE Amemiya has an H-11 option out which is supposed to be as bright as HID's, they might actually have an HID option out now, but i'm not sure. Best bet to get would be rotary extreme. Definetly worth it.

The RE Amemiya is from Japan and relatively hard to get whereas the Rotary Extreme kit is a copy of that but a very very good copy that has a few options the RE Amemiya doesn't have like HID and a CF housing.

I say get the Rotary Extreme kit.

I don't like that you have to cut the frame with the Rotary Extreme kit.

You have to cut it with the RE Amemyia kit as well. If you don't, you won't have lights with a "flush to the hood" look and they will "bulge out" like the others kits on the market.

Ahhh, so that's why the Cwest kit doesn't require cutting?

This one is similar (actually looks identical to me) and $100 cheaper. Speak with Chris Jordan, he's very helpful.

Get the C-west lights~~~ I have them and absolutely love them!!~~
On e-bay I saw some replicas.... I heard some good stories about it.....
yea!!~~~~

The only drawback is that the CATZ lights are now discontinued so get the lights at e-bay as well... there are people who are selling them.

Thanks

My lights are flush and I didn't have to cut anything on the frame to make them fit. Of course I'm not selling any copies of them either : O I don't quite follow why there is any cutting of the frame required for these kits. What part is being cut?

Ouch! WTH were they thinking when they designed that? Oh just cut the sheet metal out. Sheesh.

What are you using to keep your lexan covers down? I cleaned the hell out of my housings with an alchohol based cleaner and used some 3M Acrylic Plus tape, but they still keep popping up in the corner closest to the hood.

Of course, they were stank ugly and made the car look a 3000GT, but...

They weren't DOT legal high and low beam units either, and aftermarket DOT lights (Hella 90mm, for example) need a considerable amount of space. Which driving lights did you use?

I used black windshield urethane on my Amemiya kit, but Chuck's plexi covers aren't shaped to the pods and have to be bent from what I understand. Use some rivets and color them black with a Sharpie.

Rivets? Hmm, I don't think so Jim

How about self taping screws?

Funny, I don't remember being asked permission to use a picture of my car.
