Simplified Seq Re-wire

Is it possible you could help me narrow down a couple of things involving a simplified sequential set up? I have never had a sequential car or seen the set up in person. I understand, in basic terms, how the system works and I read Arghx's "why's this car so complicated" post, but I'm not doing an OEM based sequential. I have a set of Azeknight solenoids and it's missing the instructions. I'm running an Adaptronic PnP ECU (Emod011) and have a rywire single turbo harness that I am re-pinning for the solenoid valves. I've already sourced and ordered the pins, wire, heat shrink tubing, etc. I'm adding a few things to the harness actually, as I intend to run an internal lambda and wire my wideband directly to the ECU as well as a CAN gauge to display engine parameters. It's going to be slick. I've got a variety of Sumitomo connectors from EasternBeaver.com to piece it all together like a professional. I hate messy wiring (TS090)

Anyhow, I'd like to pin the ecu plug on the rywire harness to a sumitomo plug on about six inches of wire. Then, from the sumitomo plug I'll run wire to the weather pack connector on the Azeknight harness.
There are 4 fabco solenoids and from what I've seen, 4-6 solenoids retained for simplified sequential operation.
I need to know which solenoids I should be replacing with Fabco's and which OEM solenoids I'll be retaining.

When It comes to wiring the solnoids… Each Fabco has two conductors. Does it matter which one is run to the ECU and which one is run to the ground?

Of the four Fabco solenoids, three are terminated with blades (six blades total) and one is terminated with what looks like a male two conductor econoseal plug. Which oem solenoid/control is supposed to be using the plug?
For reference: https://www.easternbeaver.com/Main/E...econoseal.html

lastly, unrelated, I don't know what the exact loop is for coolant to the twins. My water pump housing is tapped and plugged for one line, but what about the other?

I've seen the Azeknight solenoids but have never installed or directly worked with them. IMHO, I think they're more of a problem than they are worth. Stock solenoids can be fine, I've got 130,000 miles on my car and have only had 1 solenoid problem or failure.

That said, the aftermarket solenoids most likely don't care about which wire is ground or 12v. I would double-check that before wiring things up. But, most simple electric circuits like that just need 12v and ground to move and they don't care about polarity.

Also, I believe the stock setup has a common 12v that goes to all the solenoids and the ECU will ground the solenoid to actuate it.

The majority of the stock solenoids have 2-wire colored connectors, the solenoids themselves just have 2 spades that connect to the harness. The turbo control solenoid that's bolted to the air control valve has a 2-wire plug that's similar to an injector connector, that may be the connector you're talking about.

Good luck with the project!

Dale

The RedRevolver thread had exactly the info I was looking for. Thank you. The Saxyman and AzeKnight threads I'd seen before and they were too vague.

Killer!

@Mrmatt3465 mentioned he had some documentation in the other Azeknights threads, in case it helps further
