Side Window HELL!

My passenger side window goes up relatively easily, but the driver side window STRUGGLES IN PAIN AND AGONY as it attempts to climb to the ceiling.

I press the button, and sometimes it goes straight up happily.

Other times, it nudges forward a few inches and moves at a rate of 1 inch per hour. At this point I grab the top of the window with my hand and nudge it towards the front of the car at which point it thankfully is set free and flies upwards with glee.

WTF!

I would say, odds are...your problem is motor or electrical related as opposed to mechanically (meaning the actual window or the window track itself).

Remove the interior door panels and take a look at what is wrong. It could be anything from an old dirty motor to wires that have become loosely connected to the motor. It is not that hard to disagose the problem here.

my driver's side window does that, too, the rubber weatherproofing seems to be dragging against the glass initially, then it closes just fine over the top 2/3 of the range

I got same problem, kinda..

I got automatic window, so one touch it goes
all the way up and down. But on the UP.(driverside)
it do get caught and stop. and gotta click
several times to go up. The solution i found is
Get a small bottle of WD-40 and spray it in the
rear window seal, on the door handle..

This usually last for about a week or two. and
when ever it sticks I just spray it again..
I believe it gets caught up somewhere in the weather
stripping. I tried taking apart the door to look at it.
but its unaccessible even with the door panel off..

Hope this helps.
I would do this before you burn out the motor.

Now only if I can find away to close the doors with
the windows closed with out " slamming it"
