Shifting problem~

I sometimes have problem on shifting from 1st to 2nd~
I don't know if it's my problem or what. It always not smooth enough compare to shifting from 2nd to 3rd. Also when I try to shift in R, sometimes it's hard to shift in and having some "chruch" sound.
So it's it normal or what???
Mine is a 93 R1.

thx

sounds like your syncros are going out..... wierd that your having problems from 1st to 2nd and not 2nd to 3rd. Are you having problems with 5th as well as Reverse? Those are the first two gears to usually go, when your syncros wear out....

When was the last time you had all the fluids in the car changed out?

Worn engine mounts.

An engine torque brace would eliminate the problem, don't use a rigid one unless you are pumping out big horsepower. I have a solution available. PM me for a picture.

I'm having a similar problem with 1st to 2nd shifts. I can't hear it grind, but I can feel it not wanting to go into 2nd. It goes away after driving for about 5-10 minutes.

if it grinds when the car is cold and not when it is warmed up, that is very common
Whether it is normal or ok is a different story.
