seq. or non-seq.

What are the power gains? which one is better? safer?

Do a search, this has been asked 2.3 million times. You will get alot of useful info if you search on it, good luck with it.

there is tons o threads about it search. But basically different power curve. Seq= quicker spool up, not as much up high- good for autoX. NON SEQ= little more lag, better for drag racing, and you can get rid of the millions of vacum hoses. Personally I am wating till I go single, I'll stay with seq for now.

Aslo use the search or these guys will kill ya;) just to help you out in the future

Can the stock computer handle the non-sequential conversion?

How about Farrell's PMC?

I thinking about trying this out, as I have a Turbo Control issue (boost side appears to be leaking) and this is easier than pulling the manifold right now...

Just dont go pass 10psi on the stock ecu and you should bve fine.

Can the PFS PMC (purple) handle non-seq?

jpandes Aug 19, 2002 01:13 PM

If your SEQ set-up is working perfectly, 10-8-10 or better & with no spikes, I would recommend staying with SEQ turbos. I love having max boost by 3k rpm in the city.

But, if your SEQ is giving you tons problems and frustrations like I had...Definitely try going non-sequential. It's great to have my long lost friend(BOOST) back in my life....(j/k) Just a little more lag but boost always comes on and is very smooth and predictable.

Thanks to ...Rikki for getting the ball rolling with posting the how-to...

Sure it can. That is what I use:D

Cool. I have a choice. Pull the Extension Manifold (again) or go non-seq (easier). Hmmm...

I have to admit, I do like the way sequential performs, but it is a PITA at times.

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO TURN ON AN INDIVIDUAL SOLENOID? I need to turn on my Turbo Control solenoid (pressure side) so I can hand pump the Pressure Tank and see if it leaks between the Pressure Tank and the TCA. I can only test leaks to the solenoid right now, as it is closed.

I think my transistion problem right now is a bad hose on the actuator side of the solenoid.
